Anyone listen to techno anymore? I had stopped listening to it for awhile but came across this song and I have been playing it ever since DJ Rad- Come Home ft. Zoe - YouTube
Electronic music - both underground and mainstream - are massive. The song you linked isnt so much "techno" as it is more "eurodance". Techno is quite a vast genre. You might like to try people like Orbital, The Orb, Leftfield, BT for various techno varieties. Or even my music
Yeah all I have to say is .. that is not techno. You too moodlighter!! Techno: Techno: Techno:
I used to be into techno, which eventually evolved into dubstep, which I guess is kind of aggressive techno. But nowadays the closest I get to techno is rave remixes
It still technically falls under the category of techno, being that it is made electronically without the need for a band per say.
The only people that use the word techno that way are people that don't know what techno is. It's a self-perpetuating misnomer
i have a playlist dedicated to techno on my phone! its just so happy and upbeat Great link Btw-thanks guys!!
Lol Orbital are techno. Bt experiments with many genres including elements of techno as well as non electronic genres. The orb are ambient techno.
I'm more into deep-tech tunes with really addictive tunes and deep bass, but also like some progressive techno tunes. Like - Deep-Tech: Rey & Kjavik - Animal vs. Beast (Adriatique Remix) - YouTube Maetrik - Walk Alone (Maceo Plex Revenge Mix) - YouTube Nasser Baker - Night Rider (Original Mix) - YouTube Metodi Hristov - About Me (Original Mix).wmv - YouTube Pete & The Fox - Identity (Original Club Mix) - YouTube Flashmob - Need In Me (Original Mix) - YouTube Sharam Jey & Night Talk - The Future (Metodi Hristov Remix) - YouTube CyrusLo - High (Original Mix) - YouTube Harder/Progressive-Techno: D-wayne - AMMO (Original Mix) - YouTube Bingo Players - Rattle (Original Mix) - YouTube Hard Rock Sofa - Rasputin vs Zedd - Clarity (R3hab Bootleg) - YouTube Cedric Gervais - Flip (Original Club Mix) - YouTube (This one is probably more Electro house, but it's a little techy) All the best.
Ah who cares about precise label fine tuning. Let us just share good electronic music im on my phone atm so I cant link but currently im loving: Synkro & Indigo "Guidance" and "Reflection" Unquote "Dopamine" and "Metro Dreaming"
Sounds like a nice idea, but will need a new thread for that 'cause the OP was asking about tech tunes. All the best.
I listen to allot of Techno-ish stuff .. but also listen to Metal/Rock/Pop/Country .. kinda depends what I feel like listening to that day/time/etc
There is no such thing as simple techno. There are a bunch of things that fall under subcategories that are still techno, but have their own slur on things such as rave, dubstep, trance etc. ---------- Post added 9th Jul 2013 at 09:37 PM ---------- Quite the contrary, I was hoping for people to give suggestions on what I should listen to next ! Here's another good one: SANDSTORM (darude) - YouTube
True True. Well, dubstep isn't techno, and rave isn't always either. Techno is usually a sort of unusual tune that has the same sound throughout the song but altered slightly on specific notes, as well as usually having a constant background sound (not really sure how to describe it) I would say that's more electro house than tech house. You might like these: Alesso - Dynamite (Original Mix) - YouTube Alvaro - Make Me Jump (Original Mix) - YouTube Ivan Gough vs. Stevie Mink & Steve Bleas - BOOM! (Original Mix) - YouTube David Guetta - Delirious (Laidback Luke Remix) - YouTube Jon Cutler ft. E Man - It's Yours (Nice7 Remix) - YouTube All the best.
LOVE Sandstorm!!!!! I think Im getting a bit more of an idea about what typical techno actually is. And if it is what I think it is - I usually find it boring like a lot of this recent electro house. Does not pleasd my auditory receptors.
Essentially, dubstep in it's typical form, is a recurring beat that's been altered every so often with most songs also having a secondary beat in the background. It's like a mutated version of Techno that works in certain senses.
I love techno/dance/trance/house music it makes me feel happy when im feeling down. I pretty much like every kind of music except for country and most rap.
