So, what are some of your favorite books that involve GLBT concepts?

Mine are The perks of being a wallflower, by stephen chboskey ( I have read this 8 times) and How I paid for College, by marc acito (I have read this one twice)

If you haven't read these, then you should because they are amazing.

I'm totally keeping track of this thread because I really don't read a whole lot of LGBT books. I've read some, but they reallllllyyyyyy sucked. o.o

But there was this one that's good for some cheap laughs. It's called Is He Or Isn't He? by John Hall.
And all of the Rainbow books by Alex Sanchez. <3 They're pretty damned amazing.

well I haven't read that, or any rainbow books.

I really do recommend both of the books I read though. The perks of being a wallflower like, changed my life. How I paid for college is really really good, but no life changing.

I has a lot of sex..

I love that book! I highly suggest reading that.

Today when in my school library I saw one on a transgender person I believe called Luna. I almost got it but I got a different book. So if anyone read Luna please tell me if it was good.

There was a really good one I read last year (also from my school library) but I forgot the name. :frowning2:

They do have the same characters. It's totally fantastic.
I think the second one is called Rainbow High, and the third is called Rainbow Road.

    Um
-Rainbow Boys which was very good.
-Another one which was great. Can't remember the name but it's about a gay guy and a guy in a wheelchair set in New Zealand.
-Invisible Families which is a non-fiction resource for parents of gay children
    -2 in 20 also non-fiction.

Nelson is so fab. He's really good in the third book. If you want to buy them, then Amazon.com has them.

    Rainbow High - Right here
    Rainbow Road - Clicky

Otherwise, I'm sure that your local library has them. I just tried going to the East Parker County Library (since it's what I got when I googled your home town and 'library') - but they don't have an online catalog).

Which is probably why they don't have them.
Check out a Half Price Books or something?

The only book that I've read that involved GLBT concepts was Perks of Being a Wallflower. I love that book so much; it definitely changed some aspects of my life (I can even say it's better than Catcher in the Rye for teenager books)
