Hey guys! I was listening to some music from Brazil, my original country, when I got this cool idea: I know that many people here are from many countries whose music is less know internationally, such as mine (with the exception of the bossa nova genre, which is quite old by now). So what if everyone posts a song you like from your country, be it China, France, or Equador? Its a really nice way of expanding your own musical knowledge, and the ones of many other users as well. If you are American or British, countries who currently dominate the musical sphere, you can participate as well: just choose some alternative music, if you know of any, which isnt often played on all radio stations. Something like Regina Spektor, for example ;-)

So, lets begin: This is called Nao me Deixe So (Dont Leave me Alone) by the beautiful Brazilian singer Vanessa da Mata:

This is really good! Thanks for sharing the song! Muito bom! I really like Brazilian music. I'd say that samba and bossa are my favorite haha.

I love to listen to music in different languages.
I don't speak turkish, but recently I found this and think it's amazing:

^That's very flamenco/gypsy-like. You might check out the film "Lachto Drom", which is a musical tableau of the Romani (Gypsy) people's wanderings from India to Europe. I think there is even a Turkish scene.

My parents are Indian, so I'll share these old love songs.

    And one classical song.

Wow, Im so happy you enjoyed it! Obrigado!! It isnt everyday when I see a foreigner who knows how to speak some words in portuguese. Did you ever go to Brazil?

About your video, it depressed me a little, because although the song is amazing, it made me see that Ill hardly ever play the acoustic guitar as well as this guy haha. Do you more about turkish music? I mean rock/pop songs, and not just arabian/flamenco inspired ones.

So, this is my second one. I absolutely love this rockstar from Sao Paulo:

I really love this guy's music. He got back together with Fall Out Boy so he won't be making anymore music, but it's honestly REALLY good.

And these guys are really good too, but for some reason aren't that big. At least not where I'm from anyway.

Here is a song in Finnish -- not a conventional one by any means:

    Lau Nau Valolle - YouTube

Finnish is incredibly beautiful as well, though it's unfortunately unappreciated by natives.

@GingerGuy: I've never been to Brazil but I'd really love to. I speak spanish so portuguese isn't hard for me lol. And besides I've been taking a lot of classes about brazilian music and even had a brazilian band.
I kept looking at videos of Vanessa da Mata and found a tribute concert she made for Tom Jobim, he's my favorite musician!
I don't really know more about turkish music lol..i found that when searching for flamenco.

Here's a song from my favorite japanese singer. (it's only short version because it's the only one in youtube :/)

I can't listen to all the tracks right now but yous should listen to Buraka Som Sistema (Portugal/Angola) or The Very Best, once then turned good from 2011 onwards (UK/Malawi) for some fusion.

Gang Gang Dance must have covered every continent by now.

I'm American, but I like some foreign pop songs, especially ones from FR and IT. Here's one. It's fairly pop. Most of the audience appears to be younger girls. "Un Cuore Malato" = "A Sick Heart," or probably "A Broken Heart."

they do covers of a lot of irish folk songs, like for example, black velvet band: Dropkick Murphys - Black Velvet Band (Lyrics On Screen) - YouTube (probably my favorite cover by them)
