I've been following Doctor Who since 2005, Sherlock is great and I think I'm in love with Merlin. What about you guys? Anybody have a favorite show on BBC?

Skins isn't a BBC show, its Channel 4.

BBC makes some good shows, but they make a lot of junk, have absurd news coverage (like their obsession over kates baby), then you have East Enders, Don't Scare the Hare etc. There is alot of junk on the BBC, its not worth the £175 a year for a TV license for Dr Who and occasionally sherlock

What a bunch of debbie downers. Every channel has it's junk, but you don't have to pay for it to watch the better stuff online or on Hulu.

QI, everything David Attenborough, Blackadder, various adaptations of classics (e.g. Bleak House or Pride and Prejudice), fairly unbiased news coverage... I like the BBC.

Honest to god, one of the worst things I've ever seen. That, Waterloo Road and a load of programmes broadcast in a language just a few tens of thousands of people can speak make BBC Scotland (Mrs Brown's Boys might be Irish but it's produced here) pretty shite.

There's Question Time, QI, Horizon, an excellent news channel, BBC Parliament, the best radio stations, and the David Attenborough-fronted documentaries (I like exciting/non-political or documentary things too! But Channel 4 deals with all that) to make up for it all though.

The BBC will soon be funded entirely by licence fees, whose value is decreasing per households in real terms, so expect its presence to diminish in the long term unless it can expand its international/commercial arm.

Top Gear, the David Attenborough documentaries and Mock the week are the only good things about the BBC. I like question time too.

Doctor Who needs to be cancelled now, it has just gotten so awful.

Doctor Who has definitely gone way downhill, I think what it needs desperately is a change of writer/director.

I liked it until just before David Tenant left, but now it just has stupid cheesy stories.

Nah Dude, it's pure comic genius, if it wasn't it wouldn't be so popular, they take the show on the road & it's always a sell out tour, it is really hard to get tickets, Irish humor at it's best  (!)(!)(!)(!)

PS: I love Question Time

I love the apprentice. Not sure if that's technically a tv show? But it's bloody amazing!

It's my second favourite British broadcasting company. Channel 4 seems to have more to offer, even if they're imports like The Returned. I don't have any preference between Top of the Pops and The Tube though.

Right, you say Mrs Brown's Boys, I say Father Ted, Black Books and The IT Crowd. Well, maybe not so much Black Books. I will say BBC2 had great sitcoms last century.
