    Okay, So I'm Just Wondering If Any Of You Guys Know Any Other Great Gay Themed Movies Just like "Shelter"? Except Brokeback Mountain I Really Didn't Like That Movie... :icon_wink

    Go "Camp"! although that's more centred around the theme of transgender-ness, although there is a definite gay them as well....plus, it's a musical!

    Get Real

    My first two gay-themed movies (that has gay main characters :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:). They're really good, especially Sommersturm (it's German).

    I'm watching a BBC one called Tipping the Velvet at the moment, so far it's excellent! It's interesting, because it's two girls, set in Victorian times, and male homosexuality was illegal then. However, Queen Victoria completely left female homosexuality out of it because according to her 'women do not do that sort of thing'

    "Juste une question d'amour" - a nice kitch story...
    "Mambo Italiano" is hilarious.
    "Straight Jacket" - another comedy.
    "Third man out" is a nice gey-themed detective movie.


    Summersturm is also great (though it's almost impossible to find it normal english subtitles).
    Trick and latter days are also great.

    Well. imdb is a great way to find new such movies...

    Mysterious Skin is good, though definitely not a feel-good film - potentially quite distressing.

    Someone has already mentioned them but Tipping The Velvet and Get Real are very good.

    Rent is a musical that is AWESOME and has GLBT characters.

    But I'm A Cheerleader is a VERY funny movie and it's one of the few gay movies that isn't all "Angsty teenaged emotions." Makes a nice change :slight_smile:

    I definately LOVE Rent, and But Im a Cheerleader! BIAC is a really lighthearted gay comedy, its just one of those feel good movies :slight_smile:

    A good lesbian comedy is The Itty Bitty Titty Comittee, its HILARIOUS.
    and a good one thats funny is Kissing Jessica Stein, its a sort of bisexual comedy.
    but if youre looking for more serious, Loving Annabelle is good. :slight_smile:

    What about Across the Universe? Isn't Prudence a lesbian? (Though I haven't actually seen it; just some of the scenes on Youtube, so I don't know how much that matters in the plot.) ~megan~

    The only one that I've seen was Gray Matters. It's about this girl that finds out that she's a lesbian after she kisses her twin brother's wife. Tis very cute. :wink:

    omg i just watched latter days:tears: :tears: :tears: :tears: i love it im so going to buy this on dvd that movie made me soo PROUD TO BE GAY from now on im supporting Gay Films and im going to buy em.

    'Transamerica'

    also check out the film
