Anyone else as excited as me for Shark Week? Last year's was a little disappointing, so I'm hoping that it will be better this time. Tonight cannot come fast enough.
Pretty hard to believe though. I saw the search for Megalodon one, and the only real part in it was in the end where they said something like "the tag went down to a depth of 6522 feet." Not necessarily anything with it, just the tag. The rest was basically made up and distorted. It made me mad. :tantrum:
I wish there was a good one on the Megalodon. Sharks are awesome as long as I'm not in the water with them.
Megalodon was terrible and totally out of touch with reality... and yet I couldn't help but root for them to find one! I mean seriously, who doesn't want to live in a world where there are 100 ft sharks bebopping around the ocean!
I've always watched shark documentaries in the past. Over the years, I've learned two interesting things: 1. the bull shark is more dangerous to a human than a great white because the great white doesn't prefer humans as prey and will bite to see what's out there, while the bull will keep on repeatedly attacking a human, and 2. the oceanic whitetip is responsible for a lot of deaths when there are transportation disasters and castaways, as in the olden days, but these incidents are harder to track and record.
I live for Shark Week! So great. I don't know why I'm so obsessed with it, but I am. Did you see the commercial where the seal was being released after rehab and everyone was watching and all happy then a shark jumps out of the water and eats it? So horribly funny.
I've been watching Shark Week and enjoying it! Much easier to like sharks from the safety of my recliner vs being in the water with them!
