Would this song make a good LGBT Anthem?

This Song can also be Poignant for People who are being Bullied, you would need to listen to the words to know what I meant

There's no denying that the lyrics are apposite, but the song itself is incredibly dull and not something I'd ever want to listen to. A bit like our national anthem, in which case this song works well for an anthem. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Urrgghh our national anthem is like something that had been tortured to the brink of death.

IIRC that was the last one they released before Stephen Gatley came out (was forced out), which he followed with A New Beginning

Always seemed to be a bit of a two part story between the two of them, with Better being a possible third part

Then all the remaining goodness stripped out of it, before it was fed through a blender. At least it's rendition during sporting events is long enough to have a quick loo break

For future reference - grab the bit after the v= until the next & (if there is one) and put it between youtube brackets - i.e. it will look like the following but with square brackets instead of curly brackets. :-

Eurgh never never never never. Anthems are supposed to be stirring, that just sends me to sleep. Besides, I really don't see the need for such an anthem. :L to me it suggests that we're a separate entity from the rest of society, which seems counter-productive and is just not true.

Besides, the only way I could tolerate an anthem is if this were it:

EDIT: although maybe not the religious-y bits she added in :L

I think Born This Way by Lady GaGa is pretty apt for most.

Yes, but I still can't get past the fact it sounds dreary to me. :/

The local radio station to me when I was growing up always used to speed songs up somewhat - hearing that for the first time on a CD showed how slow it was, used to sound quite uplifting on the radio!
