I personally have not seen the movie, but The Lone Ranger was a major, major flop.

  6. Smurfs and Last Airbender were pretty bad, but 10000 BC was it for me.

Man of Steel. That movie really did not portray Superman accurately; it was trife with plotholes and inconsistencies, and can some one tell me what kind of a world we live in; where a C-Grade Directer like Zach Snyder has the ability to tell A-Grade Directer/Writer/Producer Christopher Nolan what to do and how to do it? I doubt Snyder CONVINCED him to change the ending like Snyder claims, he probably did it just to shut him up and won't be bothered with it; that's right, the controversial and un-Superman like ending was Snyder, and now we're probably going to have a JLA movie ruined, this movie was not even SUPPOSED to be a part of the JLA originally!

Percy Jackson and The Olympians took the cake, until I just saw Percy Jackson and The Sea Of Monsters. They butchered the first book so badly, and then all of the actors were going on about how the second movie would stay true to the book, but then I watched the movie, and it's like somebody said fuck it, and in the last ten minutes, completely jumped away from the book's plot. I was very disappointed.

The never ending story. I read the book when I was 11, and then it was the best book I ever read. So I thought 'i've gotta watch the movie'. So I did. It cut the whole story in an eighth, muddled everything up and turned out shit. God help the film industry (not that I believe in him :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:)

For me, it's either The Last Airbender, as has been said, or the English version of Tanz der Vampire (though that wasn't a movie).

The Last Airbender and the Percy Jackson series. I remember my sister's father renting The Last Airbender and after half an hour I was like "Nope!" I was thinking about seeing the Sea of Monsters but now I'm like "Nope."

I really really hope they don't butcher the Vampire Academy series when it hits the big screen; it's currently in post and coming out sometime next year. They probably will, but one can hope.

As far as I can tell, anyone who doesn't include M. Night Shyamalan's war crime of a movie is objectively wrong.

SAY WHAAAAAAT? The Never Ending Story was the shit.

I think the worst movie adaption was The Tale Of Despereaux. That movie sucked and didn't follow the book at all. As for remakes, the King Kong from the 1970's. You know, with Jeff Bridges.

The Never Ending Story is a great movie you can't expect a movie based on a book to relay all the feelings and thoughts you had when reading it. Everyone reads and interprets books differently, with a movie you are given one persons vision.

Therefore you didn't like their interpretation.

I still think the Never Ending Story is a classic movie for kids, and would recommend it to anyone.

I haven't read the book so I don't know how much they slaughtered it, but if the movie was good, I bet the book was amazing.

I'd say the worst remake I've seen was a Series of Unfortunate Events, or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Actually it is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the original movie did the book justice.

The best remake I have seen was "Interview with a Vampire" by Anne Rice. The book was way better, but I thought the movie did it justice and is among one of my favourites. It also is a good read or movie for gay people because it imitates a "Standard Family" but uses two males as the father figures. As well in the book the two vampires that are males essentially love eachother, treat the little girl they infected as a daughter. They bicker over how to raise her.

This was all before the Vampire craze of the 2000's and really is just a great remake. Even if you don't enjoy vampire movies; I hate new ones. This one is a classic, takes place in Victorian New Orleans, a setting I have never seen used before.
