Mine right now would probably be Florence and the Machine, and My Chemical Romance.

Plus, I'm interested in what you guys say cause I need some new ideas for fresh music.

I've been on a classic rock kick so at the moment, I'm gravitating towards Rush and the Who.

How could anyone have only 2? Simply based on what I've been listening to a lot: Bob Marley and the Wailers and... idk, The Velvet Underground.

Haha well I just wanted to narrow it down to people's 2 favorites so I don't have to choose from 50 bands lol. Trust me I love a ton of artists XD

Agalloch is a long-time favorite of mine. My musical tastes are in a bit of flux right now, so I'm going to say Death Grips for number 2.

    I really can't choose only 2.
I hate to fulfill the stereotypes, but:
    One Direction, Taylor Swift, Adele.
My non-stereotypical ones: Daft Punk (Discovery, none of this "Get Lucky" crap), and the Killers.

Uhm, according to what I listen the most at the moment it would be:
Marina and the Diamonds nad Passenger. Passenger is quite a discovery really! And Marina is just awesome, no need to explain that one.

    That's my #2!

My first choice right now would be either Florence & the Mchine or Ellie Goulding (think Figure 8, not Anything Could Happen)

And this is where it gets hard. Gonna go with Los Campesinos! as my #2, but there are so many bands I love.

    cheater.

Yeah David Bowie though great one!

Oh yeah and if I need to explain my choices:

David Bowie has a varied discography with polished lyrical style and brilliant guitar. His themes are interesting and the music is good!

Fiona Apple has an interesting mixture of jazz and alternative. Her newest album in particular is perfect and the combination works. But the music is really challenging because her lyrics are occasionally rap-tier fast and intricate, she shouts and screams and the percussions are very unique. Somehow I still find it easy to listen to.
