So I just finished the Doctor Who episode where Rose is trapped on Pete's World, and I don't think I have been this sad since my grandmother died. I am totally serious. It was just so sad and beautiful and sad, and did I mention sad? I cry every time I think about her, which is dumb, but is it weird to have such an emotional attachment to a fictional character?

Personally, there are sadder bits in it after that. Prepare your feels...

And no, it's not strange to be attached to fiction. That just proves that it's good.

Nah. Fictional characters are much nicer.

When the last Harry Potter book came out, they genuinely set up helplines for people who were emotionally affected by the characters' deaths :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: So I don't think you have anything to worry about.

And yeah, I cry every time I see/hear the end of Wicked. And sometimes Les Mis.

I got emotionally attached to Terra in Kingdom Hearts. I won't spoil anything, but I wanna see him back! I can't remember that Dr Who episode, or what happened to Rose...

I cried for Vanyel; the main character in Magic's Pawn, when his lover died. Then I threw the book for making me cry.

I remember that too. But then Donna comes in and makes you laugh. What a emotional roller coaster that show is. Wait till the Doctor regenerates...

Oh my god I sat alone watching the episode when rose leaves the show crying my eyes out. Then my family came home as it was ending (me still balling) asked what was wrong and I started crying HARDER!! it was horrible. I can't remember if the episode you are talking about but I did cry at other times too with rose. Billie and david are just wonderful together. Their chemestry made the show just that much better.

Wait for later characters. As far as crying goes other tear jerking episodes inclide donna leaving, ten regenerating, and then just so much with the ponds! :tears:

I think I watch that show to test my emotional stability! :tears:

I'm not prepared for any more of Steven Moffett playing with my emotions, I'm so scared now. But I will continue watching.

Dude I feel for ya. I was the same way with Rose, I don't know what it was but there was just something about her that got me attached. I can't say anything else without spoiling it for ya but be prepared things are gonna get real is all I gotta say.

Oh don't worry I was in the Tardis Data Core (Dr. Who wiki) and saw that Rose comes back.

Oh god, now I'm getting flashbacks to the first time I watched that one... :tears:

Such a great episode. Almost makes me wish RTD was back in charge of the show.

All of Steven Moffat's episodes make me feel that way.

Yeah, I mean, the episodes he wrote when he wasn't showrunner were great but now it's just all gone to his head and he's trying to constantly outdo himself.

It gets me every time when I watch where she was trapped in the other world, then where she left. It's seriously the only place where I repeatedly cry. XD

OMG. The single tear when 10 doesn't get to tell her how he feels. It still hurts. :'(

Anyways, the whole rose tyler thing gets revisited and it ends happy. Dont worry (not saying anything else).
