Here's a random post: I was just wondering how many people here have seen La Vie En Rose, and what they think of it. I saw it last week when I was staying with my uncle (gay uncle). We were talking about my trip and I mentioned how I want to see La Vie En Rose. Then my uncle's partner said that he'd just been given it by someone a few days ago, so he brought it out and the next day I watched it. I really enjoyed it, and was surprised at how much of the French I could understand without needing the subtitles. Though I did find the way it jumped around to different dates then back again a little confusing. 5/5 from me, though I am pretty easy to please. What do other people think of the film?
You mean "La Môme" the movie about Edith Piaf played by Marion Cotillard. Apparently it's an awesome movie and Marion Cotillard is a great actress. I haven't seen it yet, I rarely ever watch tv or movies but I def want to see La Môme.
Ah...Piaf... The real deal: "Non, je ne regrette rien" - always a favourite...
I loved 'La vie en rose!' I must admit, the acting was absolutely spectacular and the make-up was really clever. If I were asked to go see it again, however, I'd probably say no because although I liked the film, I don't like Edith Piaf herself. While the film was great, I wouldn't want to spend more time watching her strutting around and shouting at anyone who annoys her. But other than that, it was really good and really worth watching.
