Just wondered if anyone else form the UK or ROI here knows of any good films or TV with a LGBT theme?

I've seen the following:

Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit (TV)

In The Flesh (TV)

Queer As Folk (TV)

My Summer Of Love (film)

Brideshead Revisited (film)

My Transexual Summer (TV)

Albert Nobbs (film)

Tipping The Velvet (TV)

Nina's Heavenly Delights (film)

Maurice (film)

Wilde (film)

My Beautiful Laundrette (film)

Scenes Of A Sexual Nature (film)

An Englishman In New York (film)

Fantabulosa (film)

I've probably seen quite a few more but can't remember them all right now. I particularity recommend In The Flesh as the best TV show. It's downloadable. Season 1 just finished but season 2 is out next year on BBC3 and BBC America. Seriously, can't recommend it highly enough but all the above are worth watching.

I'm not from the UK or ROI but I would still recommend taking a look at these:

No Night is Too Long

Skins (first two seasons)

Get Real

Cowboys & Angels

Truth or Dare is a crappy British horror movie but just posting it here and showing it's LGBT related I just made a HUGE spoiler. hehe:grin:

Torchwood has Jack/Ianto. And constant silly gay references.

Gwen: Have you ever eaten alien meat?
Jack: Well, he seemed to enjoy it

How have we got this far without mentioning Beautiful Thing (film / 15)?

Cambridge Spies (mini-series)
Christopher and his Kind (tv film)
Clapham Junction (film)
The Crew (film / 18)
Heading Out (tv series)
Shank (film / 15)
Sirens (tv series)
Torchwood (tv series)

Also there are the following documentaries that are occasionally repeated:-
Gareth Thomas - Coming Out : My Secret Past (Channel 5 / 5*)
A Very British Sex Scandal (Channel 4 / More 4) - actually quite an interesting insight into the process behind the decriminalisation of homosexuality in England and Wales

(Darn, someone snuck Torchwood in first!) :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

There's Fingersmith, which is a BBC adaption of another Sarah Waters' book. "Fingersmith" trailer - YouTube Then there's the film Imagine Me and You ( I don't know if anyone has mentioned that yet). But that has Lena Headey in and how can you not watch Lena Headey?
