Okay, so this may be for the older lesbian crowd who remembers Melissa from years back. I've loved her music ever since I first heard it in the early 90s. I finally went to a concert last night! O.M.G.! She was absolutely fantastic. The crowd was invited to sing along to several of her songs. I sang my little voice out. My girlfriend doesn't sing but she was certainly rockin' it! So, if you ever get a chance to see her in concert, go for it! It was so worth the price of the tickets and the short drive to get there! :eusa_danc
Well, here's the best Melissa Etheridge song I know of: Melissa Etheridge - I Want To Come Over - YouTube And, while I don't know her "status," here's the best Tracy Chapman song I know of: Tracy Chapman - Talkin' bout a Revolution [High Quality] - YouTube Both of them good tunes to listen to while driving!
The whole crowd sang I Want To Come Over last night. Wow! I love the Tracy Chapman song too! She started out with Shout Now Melissa Etheridge - Shout Now - YouTube
I'm The Only One is kind of my jam. My dad really likes her so I grew up hearing a lot of her music. She's got some really great stuff in her discography.
Come to My Window is awesome. Have either of you listened to Silent Legacy? The first time I heard it I was at work and I literally got tears in my eyes and had to turn around and face the other side of the greenhouse. Okay, I cried. Yeah. Such a girl even if I look butch. Gee, thanks! LOL. ---------- Post added 5th Sep 2013 at 08:57 PM ---------- I never knew of that one. As for the song I posted, the lines that really get to me are "I want to come over, to hell with the consequences." That really gets one's mind going.
