It was the first anime I really watched, and I LOVE it. It's still my favorite. The manga is incredible as well.

epic, enjoy it mate. even the English dub ain't that bad. id steer clear of the live action films though, there not to bad just incredibly rushed.

I LOVE Death Note! It's the only Anime series I've taken to. <3

 

I watched the last four or five episodes one night; my brother had seen most of it and gave me a quick sum-up of what had happened in the rest of the series so I had some idea what was going on. An anime's never had me on the edge of my seat like that. It was so good I couldn't stop watching even though it ended at 5:30am and we had to be up by 9:00am

 

You should watch the rest. You need to see L. And L and Light handcuffed together in several episodes of glorious, fanservice-y shounen-ai goodness.

 

Lol i just thought it was funny, never considered the shounen-ai goodness.
But yeah L MAKES the series, he is the coolest mother:***: in anime who doesn't have superpowers or is a cyborg, how he and light try to outdo eachother without knowing who they are is amazing. there;s not been an anime like it since. the closest ive heard of but not actually watched is MONSTER. i need to see it soon, i need a death note fix.

 

Yeah the back & forth trying-to-outdo-each-other (in the case of the ending, with Near taking L's place) was my favorite part of the whole thing, and knowing that no one was safe, anyone could be killed off if necessary...and people keep talking about how badass L was, so I really do want to see the rest. Just need to find the time to get around to it. Knowing how it ends already won't keep me from enjoying it

 

Death Note is a fantastic anime. One of my all-time favorites.

 

Death Note is probably one of the best animes ever xD Plus L and Light are totally hot so yeah.. that's a plus

 

Rewatch the rain scene, where L dries Light off. It was an obvious biblical metaphor, but also :jawdrop: I actually haven't seen MONSTER either. Maybe that will be next on my list, I have to finish Ghost Hunt first.

 

Ahhhhh, Death Note! I remember when it ruled the Internet and people would discuss what would happen next on each chapter, good times!

I liked the L & Light dynamic a lot, but I reaaaaaaaaally got into Death Note when Mello & Near appeared

how good is ghost hunt? i saw to the end of that first case in the school and tbh was not that impressed. does it get any better?

 

After I stopped watching anime when I was like 6 (dubbed doesn't count!), I started watching anime again when I was about 10. Death Note was my first anime I watched in a long time.

Btw, I would love to have a book where I can kill people just by writing their name. I can kill like the worst criminals and my worst enemies in an instant.
