Not sure this is where I can post this... move it if necessary, Mods. In case you need a laugh. This site collects pictures of how English is used in countries that don't have it as a native language. The results are cute at their worst and completely hilarious at their best. Here's one of the most recent ones. The taste is divine! | Engrish.com
I will always find innocent misspellings hilarious and this site has reduced me to tears or laughter more than once. This and this have always been my favourites.
This stuff is great. I can't think of any errors except for some funny translations. In English, we say "make love" and "have sex." In a European language, they say "make love" and "make sex" (in their language, of course). So, when they visit America, they say "make sex," in English, until they become more assimilated, and I find it funny.
I love Engrish.com. Of course, I also enjoy seeing the opposite. hanzismatter.blogspot.com ---------- Post added 27th Sep 2013 at 09:29 PM ---------- Some of the comments on that last link remind me of a certain vegan cooking site...
:roflmao: That last one reminds me of this sign in my local grocery store. It reads "Bare mans homo milk" I die laughing every time.
You can say homo milk in Canada without getting a weird look, it's what we call homogenized milk. It's funny someone posted this website beecause I just discovered it like 2 days ago. Can't believe I never knew about it.
