Okay, everybody. Our first book is officially "Will Grayson, Will Grayson" by John Green and David Levithan. Thanks to all of you who voted. Is one month enough for everyone to finish? I know you're all busy, so we can extend it if necessary. Also, if this goes well and you'd like to do another poll for next time, please start thinking of things to suggest. If not, we can go with the runner up, which was "Magic's Pawn". Your choice. Give it some thought. Anyway, HAPPY READING! (!)

Are there to be guided questions associated with this reading? Who would be in charge of those? As a side note, if there were to be questions and/or discussion about the book, it may be good to use
    spoiler tags.

That's just a thought I had, but unfortunately I will not be participating. I hope you all enjoy this book =) If one is unsure of how to use or create spoiler tags, please quote my post and you should see the format of it.

    As an example:

    Chapter 1 questions and discussion:
Why did ABC XYZ 123? Do you think apples are lollipops and unicorns fly with supreme grace?

Thanks for the tips! We hadn't discussed guided questions, but I suppose I would be in charge of them? Maybe? I don't know if other people would be interested in leading discussions, but I'm sure it'll be pretty well-balanced. We have a good variety of people who have expressed interest. I think it's a great idea, though. Perhaps I'll put a few in the discussion thread once we're done reading (I think an ongoing discussion would be too chaotic, as people read at different speeds, and accidental, non-tagged spoilers would be bound to happen). It all depends on what people want, though. Sorry you won't be joining us this time, but I hope you do sometime in the future, if this takes off. :icon_bigg Thanks again!

I'd be happy to be of assistance, but unfortunately not this month. Perhaps sometime down the line I may feel the desire to join in on a guided discourse of a book. Once more, I hope you all enjoy the book! I've only heard good things about this book, though admittedly I haven't been digging through reviews.

Offering alternative views is always a plus. Particularly with books like this month's pick. I have never been a gay teenage boy...or a straight one for that matter. So it'll be good to have the opinion of someone who has a slightly better idea of what that feels like. It'd be great if you (and everyone for that matter) would jot down things that you connect with, or those you don't, as you read. As for format, I figure I can put together some basic topics/questions as a springboard, and then we can see how everyone feels about it and tweak it however we'd like. Sound okay?

Should be enough time I think, it's not a very long book.

I'm on chapter five. It brings back a lot of feelings from HS.

I find that I identify with will's mother. Which disturbs me. That thing about
Kill Bill and Pride and Prejudice
    was exactly, frighteningly me.

Yes, I could relate to that too. Kill Bill is more a study in movie techniques. It just happens to be violent like all samurai movies.

I actually enjoy the gore. It's campy and excessive, but adds to the world-building in a really interesting way. :soapbox:
