    Hello everyone,

November is NNWM, a novel of 50,000+ words. I'm going to participate in this (even though I'm going through the fourth edit of my current novel that took 15 months to write)

It'd be great to have a few others join so we can perhaps help each other out with ideas, if needed, and to see how we are progressing through the month.

I have no story idea yet, but will think of one soon, I hope.

    Dan

PS. Here's a link to the official NNWM website National Novel Writing Month

I'm participating this year as I'm taking a year out of uni and needed something to do with all my extra time. I have a story concept, but very little actual plot.

So you mean it could help me with my writer's block? But 50+ in a month?? Considering that I write in English, and I am not a native speaker... no way :rolle:
But thanks for encouraging me, I may give it a try

I think I'll be participating. I've been pecking out pieces of a novel off and on for a year now, but I only have about 30 pages of unconnected scenes. I'd like to tie it up. I'd love to have someone to bounce ideas off of.

Alas, for the first time in three years I will not be participating. I've just got too much going on this month. I wish everyone who will be taking part the best of luck however!

I might as well just finish the novel that I put on hiatus. Though I'm still not sure if I want to...

I would like to participate; I have a story that I've been thinking about for a while. However, I don't think I have enough of it planned out to write 50,000 words!

I do like the idea of having a thread where we could throw around ideas.

I've heard that editors receive thousands of manuscripts in a year. I wish you all luck but the odds of having your novel published is small.

I might try as I just started a new story concept, but no promises It'll make it to 50k or have any semblance of quality. :S

Having your "novel" published is not the point of NaNoWriMo. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Wishing everyone the best with this.

I had a dream last night about a group of aliens taking over a corporation such a Coca Cola, or similar, possessing humans via a massive car crash on route to an annual meeting.
They then contaminate their product to 'turn' users - but then the non users discover what's going on and have to turn everything around.

    It's a possible idea

Same malachite! This is gonna be awesome, I might do some sort of story about a L/G/B/T teenager struggling with their identity, kids at school, and getting a job. The story will develop more, but as soon as I can start writing I'm going to, might be hard with my college comp class but whatever.

    To everyone doing it:
    :goodluck:

I've had an idea developing for a few months now, so I'm really excited to finally start writing soon! I think a NaNoWriMo thread on here is a good idea, as we can help each other with plotlines, motivation, encouragement etc.

Good luck to all who are participating!

I'm pretty sure I'm going to participating in NaNoWriMo, for the fourth year, again this year, though I, er, don't actually have any idea of a plot yet... I'm hoping something will come to me in the next few weeks, but I may just have to wing it otherwise :S

    Good luck to everyone!
