There is a programme here in the UK called Tv Heaven, Telly Hell. Each week a celebrity comes onto the show and tells everyone about TV programmes that they love and hate.

The topic isn't about that programme though, it is about your TV Heaven and Telly Hell!

    TV Heaven
Neighbours- I don't know why but I really love the Australian soap Neighbours. At times it can be cheesy and stupid but I relly love it...don't know why!

Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious- I really love this programme. It's full of hot girls singing and dancing. What more cna you want! I also love all the bitchiness in the house!

    Telly Hell
Home and Away- Neighbours' arch rival. I really, really hate this programme. Don't even get me started on it

NCIS- I am a fan of the CSI's and stuff but for some reason I really hate this. I especially hate that goth girl in it! Don't ask me why though!

Channel Five- I actually hate the whole of Channel Five in the UK. There is no point to it. Yeah they show CSI and Neighbours but surely some other channel can get the contracts for them and then Five can just disappear!

Neighbours - Sorry to copy you Extreme26, but I've watched this soap my whole life and love it to pieces. Even when it's cheesy, you can still love it. It's just warm, fun and lovely and the only show that I always watch

Arrested Development - The sort of show you can watch over and over again, it's hilarious

Charlie Brooker's Screen Wipe - I have trouble thinking on the spot, so this show is really all that comes to mind, it's basically all about TV. It's very funny and should be watched, I caught up with it on youtube

    TV Hell
This is a bit more difficult as I tend to avoid the programmes I hate but...
Football - Football bores me to tears, the commentary bugs the hell out of me and I can't think of anything worse than sitting through a football match. I could maybe settle for having it on in the background while I talked to someone or listened to music though

Music channels - I know this doesn't technically count, but it's TV, I can't stand music channels (especially the ones that never play music, and only ever have these stupid teen reality shows). All the other music channels show about one music video between all the adverts, and for me, music videos completely ruin music. Music should be listened to, not watched. Rant over

Oh, and channel five, even though it's overrun with american imports, has improved a hell of a lot from it's origins as a softcore porn channel

Law and Order: Special Victims Unit - I love the cast, and it's always interesting. And I can't stop watching if it has started, I need to finish the episode.

Fairly Odd Parents - Don't make fun of me! I think this show is way better than Spongebob.

    Telly Hell
Well, first of all, being forced to call it 'telly,' which is absent in the American lexicon. Haha

Anything on HGTV - my mom watches that 24/7.

I really don't watch that much to say. That isn't to say I'm cultured or artsy or anything, I just spend my mindless hours on the 'net.
    THANKS EC. <3

:eek::eek: how dare you :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: it's just too rubbish to be bad lol. I love hollyoaks, a guilty pleasure, but I love it. But don't worry, I'm not religious about watching it, but I do watch it whenever I can.

I also love scrubs, casualty, holby city, ER, Mistresses!!!!...

And I can't stand Big brother, Eastenders, Corrination street.. that sort of rubbish :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Oh I am a hypercrit lol.

Confining myself to things that are still on the air.

    Heaven

Nature documentaries - Pretty pictures, and I'm learning, too!

NLL Game of the Week - OK, so I watch indoor lacrosse on TV. Something's wrong with me.

The Soup - makes all the horrible shows below almost worthwhile.

    Hell

The Hills - The participants are ostensibly playing themselves...and they're such awful actors that I don't believe them for a second. Everything plays like the very first run-through, like they're first trying out their lines. "We'll add the emotion later." My friends don't go to nice places, true, but I'd much rather follow them to the grocery store and the cleaners than follow these people to these nice restaurants and bars.

A Shot at Love - I've TRIED to get my brain around this show. I've tried approaching it from several angles. Obviously, these people aren't REALLY hoping that Tila will fall in love with them and settle down - I mean, it's "A Shot at Love TWO". So I tried watching it as a bunch of pretty people (with some "ugly pretty people" mixed in) doing a version of a horse race - albeit one filled with alcohol and pig vaginas. Something for people to "pick their favorite" and cheer on. But I can't even understand THAT. I can't invest any interest in these people at all.

Most major sports - I actually like football (American), and baseball, and other sports. But there's almost no sports left on TV. We spend two days leading up to the games dissecting what this game means, and how it'll affect our rotisserie leagues, and stats stats stats telling us that it's inevitable that Team A will win. Then, during the game, every single play - every two-yard gain, every ground out to shortstop - is chopped up into hash. Why that two-yard gain spells doom for Team A, and that ground out was a brilliant play by Team B. Stats clutter the screen, interviews in the upper right corner, and more predictions. And then, afterwards, we get the game recap, and the game analysis, explaining why it was inevitable that Team B would win.

Guys, can I just watch the game?

Oh there would be far too much to list here, but basically start with a one-hour drama. Sci-fi is a definite plus, although "teen" shows are cool too. For instance:

Battlestar Galactica (except for the current season, which is dreck so far)
    Gossip Girl
    Brothers & Sisters
    Sarah Connor Chronicles
    Lost
    House
    Grey's Anatomy
    Journeyman
    Moonlight
    Bones
    Dexter
    Kyle XY
    Chuck
    Six Feet Under

Basically anything with really good writing and acting that isn't a crime procedural.

    Telly Hell

ANY reality show, but especially things like America's Next Top Model, Pussycat Dolls, <blank> Idol, Wife Swap... reality TV is humiliation television and it ought to be shot, posthaste. And so often it about all about watching people lose way more than it's about seeing who wins.

Sitcoms. I just pretty much never find them all that funny or engaging, because they're incredibly contrived.
