Well, i have read both (yaoi and yuri), and never found some yaoi that have a equivalent plot... Most of time i see yaoi coming to the two extreme opposites: the sex all the time (its too much for me) and the gay stereotype (too much lovey dovey)....
oh, i tried some manga for yaoi and i really couldn't stand it, its like its all about sex with cheesy plots like boy meets boy and BAAAM!! sex sex sex then gets all graphic which made me hate it. i sometimes wonder if the writer was in the correct mind state when writing the book. i think the real question is, any good yaoi manga with great art ? i tried yuri, yuri has better progressing stories than yaoi but gets boring at times since its all just talk. but out of topic i only read two manga's that i really love, Shingeki no Kyojin and Claymore <3
Yeah...... you see that's what i don't like about yaoi it almost always leads to sex without anything before. Like you said BAM sex sex sex it gets old really REALLY fast that's why i read yuri more than yaoi but the thing i hate about yuri is the classic line "but we're two girls" i'm not joking almost every yuri manga i have read has had that in it.
