So I saw the film this weekend, after standing in like for 50 minutes, and it was well worth the wait and the price. While I like movies and will watch anything, I am critical when it comes to saying whether a movie was really good or not. This movie was EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not even a fan of the series, my wife is, and this film was just amazingly good. A good balance, the roman was secondary to the main plot. This film was just...great. I won't give spoilers but worth it. Anyone else see it?
I'm going to see it tomorrow. And if what I've heard about the movie staying very true to the canon of the book is true, then I will be a happy camper.
I saw the double feature last Thursday, and I thought the second one stayed pretty true to the book. There were a few minor things changed, but it seemed like they handled the changes well. There was only one thing I've been displeased about them changing (but that was changed in the first as well). I don't know how to do a spoiler tag, so I won't spoil it, but for the most part I think it was really well done.
I will say one thing: I don't know how, but the movies really make Effie a likeable character. And I felt so bad for Mags and Wiress in the movie. ._.
Catching Fire was such an awesome movie! I've only read the first half of that book, so I knew what was going on in the beginning parts of the movie. I'm going to see it again tomorrow with some friends--it's a movie worth watching.
I thought they tried to over play their hand with the romance, Although I was a fan of both the books and movie, This one was certainly an improvement from the first movie
