In case you didn't know, Brian from Family Guy died. He got ran over buy a car and died from his injuries :'( Family Guy won't ever be as good as it was before :'(
What. I haven't been watching any of the new episodes lately, I'm gonna go look it up. So yeah, I'm a little shocked. I mean, I enjoy family guy, but I'm not super passionate about it like some other shows but damn, that's so random and awful to kill Brian off. But maybe they'll bring him back I don't know.
Good job on the massive spoiler in the thread title Might want to change that for people who haven't seen the episode yet.
I think we'd all know if the actor died. He voices half of the cast anyway doesn't he. Seth McFarlane?
Probably one of the biggest deaths you'll get in an animated sitcom, unless Death visits someone with the surname Simpson.
They're all on borrowed time, surely. Bart and Lisa are in their mid-late thirties and neither have had a pap smear or prostate exam and Homer had a triple bypass 20 years ago, he should croak any day now! Marcia Wallace, aka Edna Krabappel, passed away last month. The end draws near......
Although I do think that it's a really ballsy move, some people around the internet were pointing out that 2 upcoming episodes this season have "Brian" in them: "Brian's a Bad Father" and "Brian's Got Back". We'll see if the change is permanent by the end of the season. Brian was one of the better characters, and the Stewie/Brian episodes are some of the most well-received, so I don't think he'll stay dead.
This bothers me quite a bit, mainly because of the Brian and Stewie relationship (especially in the "Brian and Stewie" episode which is my favorite episode the show has done to date). It's a total copout, but it would be nice if Stewie used the time machine to save Brian...but I doubt it will happen unless the episode names are official. I've yet to see the episode, but I would have loved for Meg to be the one to get written off. I don't hate Meg, I love her honestly. It would have made for an interesting episode to see how her death would affect others; possibly showing they have regrets for treating her poorly or that they did care despite their questionable actions.
Haven't watched Seth McFaglane's shit in ages but I do remember liking the Brian & Stewie episode. Wouldn't put it past them to kill off one of their most popular characters and bring him back in some half-assed way
Well I'm sad because I felt like I connected best with Brian (rational minded person). However this is a cartoon, and as someone said there are episodes with Brian's name in it. I have the feeling he would probably just come back (let's look at South Park and Kenny as Precedent).
Stewie's a genius, so I won't be surprised if he rebuild's the time machine and goes back to save him.
I honestly don't care too much since I haven't watched Family Guy in ages, but I pretty sure it's not permanent. They kill off one of the most iconic and loved characters of the show to replace him with an obnoxious and annoying character? Please:rolle:
