Since there's a show about movies that make you cry, I wanted to ask about songs.

Somebody to Love by Queen brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it.

I know this is going to sound super cliche, but for me it's: Same Love

I don't know of any songs that automatically bring me to tears every time I hear them, but there are songs that I listen to the lyrics closely and at the right moment and they really hit me at that time.

Most recently, I was about to to my roommate's grandpa's funeral about two weeks after I came out to my parents, and I listened to this song. It just made me think about the cycle of life, the legacies we all leave behind, and especially this part:
"When the angel of death comes a-looking for me, hear the angels sing
I hope I was everything I was supposed to be, when the angels sing
There's gotta be a heaven, 'cause I've already done my time in hell
And a little baby's born when it all comes down, hear the angels sing."

Reflection from the ost for Disney's Mulan.

I had not seen the movie in over a decade but re-watched it recently. It was a very emotional song for me.

Better Than Drugs by Skillet; because the lyrics say everything I want to say to him...

Or Snuff by Slipknot; 'cause that's a generally sad song.

OR My Immortal by Evanescence; because... oh gods... It's just so sad.

Anyways... all three have made me shed a tear or two.

I'm not old and you'll find nary a song in my favorites from after the 1980's. *Jimmy Buffett's Barometer Soup album is an exception.

Oh yes, that reminds me: Jimmy Buffett's He Went To Paris. Wow. It never fails to get me.

Connect by ClariS, especially the orchestral version. The original is the OP to PMMM. At first it sounds like generic JPop, but after you've seen the anime...it takes on a whole new layer of emotion and meaning.

"Fix You" by Coldplay -- When I first heard it, I started crying

"(You Want to) Make a Memory" by Bon Jovi -- This song tugs at my heart.

"And The Snakes Start to Sing" by Bring Me The Horizon -- The lyrics are powerful.

"Empty Chairs" by Don McLean -- I relate to this song a lot.

"Come Undone" by Duran Duran -- My all-time favorite song. When I listened to the actual lyrics, it made me tear up.

"Resurrection Fern" and "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" both by Iron & Wine -- Beautiful songs.

"I Still Miss Someone" by Johnny Cash -- Oh lord, the first time I listened to this song, I cried.

"Hurt" cover by Johnny Cash -- Every time I listen to it, I bawl my eyes out.

"The Past" by Never Shout Never -- This song reminds me of my past. It used to bring me tears.

"The Last Song" by Rhianna -- A really good song. Makes me cry.

"Why" by Secondhand Serenade -- My love-crying song.

"Asleep" by The Smiths -- God, this song is emotional as hell.

    Sorry for the long list!

Most music by Dead Can Dance can really get me going.

Special mention goes to Host of Seraphim. Lisa Gerrard has a lovely voice that I haven't heard any equal to.
