I liked the movie alright for its pure cg-porn effect. The plot came off as very sanctimonious, but as a born-again space travel aficionado, I luurrved the amount of effort poured into plausible starship design and mission planning.

CG-porn  brilliant. I liked the whole concept but even that wasn't anything new. Really the only interesting aspect of the film was the CGI, which explains the huge price tag on it. It did not, as many suggest, break barriers and blow minds. It didn't do anything new. But what it did, looked nice
