My English teacher played the movie for us yesterday and it was actually really interesting I think I read one or two of the books a few years back as well
Haven't read the books, but I have watched the movies. Lol. I know a lot of people who like the books hate the movies, but eh. I will say one thing though, that's present in both the book and the movie: Spoiler Why the fuck did they not expect the Golden Fleece to revive Thalia? It revived a God from thousands of years ago, but you didn't expect it to have enough power to revive a demigod that died a few years ago?
Have you read the book? Every single time I see that movies my soul run away from my body.... And, yeah, I know that movies are good for whom dont saw the book, but for who realy like the serie... :eusa_doh: :tears: :bang: Sorry if I over reacted about the movies, I just hate them...
I know that feel. The movies are good but it's difficult to relate them with the books. Some of the characters are out of context and different.. I am pretty much sure that the lightning thief isn't Luke. :dry:
I'm listening to the audiobook of the first one as we speak (I don't have my kindle at the moment so I can't read). I wish I would have read them when I was younger; I'm a bit late to the game now. I have just heard good things about the sequel series and I need to get through these first.
I used to be a Percy Jackson fan...I just haven't read the latest book though... Nah... I don't really like the movies...
My kid got me hooked on the books. Now, I read them all, but kid doesn't. Both my kid and I agree that the first movie stunk. The second movie, we both liked. They changed a few things in the second, but really kept pretty much to the book.
I've read the original series at least 5 times, and I've read most of the Heroes of Olympus. The movie is good on its own (ive only seen the first one) but when you think about how it's actually supposed to be like the book it just...the least they could do is keep the plot similar!
I love the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series, have you read the spin off series that Rick Riordan made with Percy and Annabeth in it?
The Heroes of Olympus series? Yeah, I actually just finished The House of Hades. It was awesome, but now I gotta wait for the next book to come out, so I'm depressed haha. I hated the movies though. I actually fell asleep while watching the new one. :lol:
Yeah I didn't have high expectations for the Heroes of Olympus series, but I actually really like it. The movies on the other hand, leave a lot to be desired. They cut a lot out from the books
