So I didn't see a thread for this, so here it goes!

I love sports. ESPN is on in the morning when I wake up and BleacherReport is my go to daily. So what are some of your favorite pro sports teams? You don't have to cover every league, but if you want to, awesome! If you also want to mention collegiate, that's cool. I'm not going to for privacy reasons.

NFL: Panthers -- gotta go with the home team
NBA: San Antonio -- Tim Duncan is probably my all-time favorite athlete
    MLB: Atlanta Braves
    NHL: Carolina Hurricanes
MLS: I love the Portland Timbers, but also Sporting KC
World Football: I follow anything USMNT

I also am a fan of Liverpool F.C., Dortmund, and Juventus in association football. I like the Edmonton Eskimos just because I think that name is awesome. And I love anything and everything Olympics.

NFL: Don't care too much for the NFL. Will watch "The Big Game" but usually that's it, unless with friends; NCAA is much better, in my opinion, heck even high school is better than NFL. Sorry for that.

NBA: San Antonio Spurs- both because they're the home team and because of their ethics and lack of showboating.

    MLB: Rangers

NHL: Seriously? I've only seen snow on vacations. Texans weren't meant to play or enjoy hockey :roflmao:

MLS: To be honest, most boring 90 minutes of my life.

    NFL: Patriots
    NHL: Ducks
MLB: Dodgers and Angels equally--one side of the family is Dodgers fans and the other side is Angels fans and I'd get disowned if I picked one
NBA: Lakers, to the extent that I care
    Soccer: USMNT
College: Grew up a UCLA fan, now also root for my undergrad and grad schools (both D-I, won't say the names)

NFL: Bills. I'm from Buffalo, and I am unfortunately obsessed with the Bills. Last time they had a winning season I was 12.

    NHL: Sabres. See above.

MLB: Indians. I should probably be a Yankees fan, but that's never happening.

NBA: Not too big into the NBA, but I'm a Cavs fan.

    College basketball/football: Syracuse Orange.

College hockey: Mercyhurst Lakers. I attend 'Hurst, so I gotta like them. But they make it easy - both the mens and woman's hockey team are really good, especially the latter. The MVP of the 2010 Olympic women's hockey tournament, Meghan Agosta, was a Mercyhurst grad. Laker pride!

I suppose I should have ranked them...but definitely USA

bit of a rough group we are in here

USA is always who I root for first, the Norway, Nepal, Ghana, and admittedly Brazil I am sort of a band wagon fan...gotta be honest right?

Yep same. My friend in Lynn MA introduced me to US sports so I go for the mighty patriots (Brady, Belichick are amazing) and the Boston Bruins (ice hockey.) i loosely follow NBA but not the baseball at all. Somehow the Celtics are second in their division despite being mediocre this year LOL. NEP actually have a shot at the superbowl but since gronk got injured, it is an outside chance. Im eternally grateful my friend lives in MAS instead of someplace like Florida or Washington d.c sports wise.

    Hey now.

    Since 2000...

    Miami Heat - NBA champions (2006, 2012, 2013)
Miami (formerly Florida) Marlins - World Series champions (2003)
Tampa Bay Rays - AL Pennant (2008)
Tampa Bay Lightning - Stanley Cup Champions (2004)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Super Bowl Champions (2002)
Orlando Magic - Eastern Conference Champions (2009)

And, if we want to throw college sports into the mix (which are huge down south)...

    (Again, since 2000...)

Florida Gators - BCS (football) Champions (2006, 2008), Sugar Bowl champions (2009); Basketball Champions (2006, 2007)
Miami Hurricanes - BCS Champions (2001)
Florida State Seminoles - Orange Bowl champions (2012), playing for the BCS championship this year in a few weeks

Now, the Jaguars have been largely irrelevant, save for a few good seasons in the mid-2000s, and the Dolphins have been basically mediocre or worse, except for 2008. So, those two are pretty much indefensible (at least for recent years - the Dolphins were good-to-phenomenal from about 1970-2000). But all the other teams have at least advanced to the championship relatively recently, if not won it. You should be thankful your friend doesn't live in Cleveland (sorry, Cleveland fans). Now, that would be rough.
