I loved a little known show called Sports Night. It had a LOT of now-stars in it and really launched many of their careers. It was truly one of the first comedy/drama shows combined, but was WAY too advanced for the times. It only lasted 2 seasons.

Happy Endings -- season 1 doesn't start off great, but it is like fine wine. It gets better over time. Season 2 and 3 are by far one of the funniest seasons I have ever seen.

House is both drama and comedy, but I watched only 3 seasons (I kinda get bored by the romantic stuff taken larger place in the episodes)

For comedy you've got The Simpsons, Futurama, Sienfield, Big Bang Theory, Friends, Curb Your Enthusiasem and I surly forgot more ...

Brothers and sisters is the best show ever! I've seen all 5 seasons.
And Grey's Anatomy is pretty good, too. I've seen some episodes, the cast is pretty good.

Oh, and Ugly Betty, too!

I'm more of an anime person, but I like Breaking Bad, Dead Like Me, and Sherlock. I can watch some Doctor Who, but it's more of a last-resort for boredom relief.
