Am I the only other Carlin fan here? I always told myself "He's getting old, he's not going to be around forever", but I can't believe it happened so quickly. If only Dane Cook could swap places with old George, I would be infinitely happier.
I was pretty sad when I found this out. I loved a lot his movie appearances and a few of his specials were pretty good. He will be missed that's for sure.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=3PiZSFIVFiU a little macabre humor go's a long way When I first saw this I was crying I was laughing so hard "If I can do anything at all... Fine why don't you come next weekend you can paint the garage..."
I made the mistake of going back through and watching some of his HBO specials. I had to stop, though, when he got to his routine on soft language - he began joking about when he died, he wouldn't actually die, he would "expire" or "pass away".
he died?! omg no, this is tragic!! T_T When will Jesus bring the Porkchops is the best book in the entire world...and.....RUFUS!!!! oh god bill and ted will never be the same.
He came to Calgary earlier in the year. My dad and I really wanted to go, but due to the combination of our work and the price of the tickets we passed it up. I'm really regretting this now. My dad introduced me to Carlin, and I've found him to be absolutely brilliant.
That video is great. I just lately in the past year have been checking to see when he was gonna be in my area but he wasn't scheduled here at all. It was a goal of mine to see him live :icon_sad:
Same here...I had always hoped I would get to see him perform on stage, in person, at least once before he died. There's one dream out the window...
