I just started watching it. On episode 2, and my mind exploded. It was awesome and I could watch it for days. Another bonus is that Steven Moffat seems to be unable to kill any main characters, since there are only two (and they aren't able to be rotated since this isn't Dr. Who). Anyways, awesome show. :eusa_clap
I love Sherlock! :icon_bigg It gets better. Steven Moffat is a lot better at writing that than Doctor Who. I wish he'd stick to Sherlock and let someone else write Doctor Who, he's obviously too busy to write great episodes for both of them.
I really think Steven Moffat is ruining Doctor Who, the recent Christmas Special was awful, more of a montage than an actual episode. I love Sherlock as well and I'm really looking forward to S3; does anyone know when it'll broadcast in Australia?
He should let go Doctor Who and focus on Sherlock instead. It's been two years, New Years Day is Sherlock Day.
Australian air date still hasn't been announced, it probably won't be for a couple more weeks. I'd honestly recommend streaming. And Sherlock is amazing! The Reichenbach fall is without a doubt one of my favourite episodes of any TV show I have ever seen ever! And I've watched upto 30 shows so yes. It's that good. And I do think Moffat is better writing for Sherlock than he does Doctor Who. It helps that while Him and Mark Gatiss plan out the series and what happens, he still technically just writes one episode per season (leaving another for Gatiss and another for Stephen Thompson). So it allows him to use all his ideas, while Doctor Who doesn't give him time to....regenerate ideas (as he writes most of them, and the season arc). I feel like Moffat should go back to writing a few episodes a season (Hell be showrunner, doesn't mean you have to write most episodes) and let others take over.
Yeah! Oh gooood the speech! The ending was really sad though. Don't know how to feel about Mary. Idk, I just hoped they'd be flatmates for a little bit longer. I liked that. Anyway, she is extremely likeable so it's hard to be dissatisfied, really!
Why is it that everyone just automatically thinks Moffat wrote Sherlock? I mean correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he just the co-creator, with Mark Gatiss' brilliant mind behind the writing of Sherlock?
John was crying during the speech:tears: The parts where they were drunk and the part at the end when Sherlock said that he was the one who taught John to Dance and Mrs. Hudson walked in, and that is what started the rumors about them dating was great. Why is there only 3 episodes per series???
I thought the latest episode was absolutely brilliant. People complained about how there was a lack of a crime, but the show is also about character building. I loved it. Basically because the logistics and time it takes to write and film three movie length episodes prevents them from filming anymore than 3 at a time. Sad reason but justifiable. Besides there could be too much of a bad thing. Three episodes a season is fine for me.
