Who <3'S them also? My fav songs by them are the kill, capricorn, and oblivion. They sound amazing, from the band to Jared Leto's (lead singer) voice, its like chilling. Plus, i will say that before 30 seconds to mars, i still had a sorta crush on Jared Leto, always thought he was cute. HOWEVER, black hair and eye liner upgraded crute to just plain HAAAWWT :icon_wink

I like 'em, but they're not my favorite band. Love how they based their music video for "The Kill" on the Shining though....<3 that movie.

I believe they referenced the movie "The Last Emperor" for their music video for "From Yesterday", but I'm not 100% positive on that.

    Fun story about 30STM.

I'm not a fan. Never have been really. One day, a friend of mine asked my opinion once, and I wrote out why I wasn't a fan, and e-mailed it to her. Then I headed outside to go get a snack from the convenience store across the way...

...and ran into two members of the band. The two non-Letos, specifically. I said "Hi," introduced myself, asked how the tour was going. We chatted a bit, then they asked if I could recommend a few restaurants in the area for them to try. I suggested a few, then said, "I got to get back to work - have a good show."

Matt (I think) said, "Cool - see you there?"

I said, "Oh no -I won't be there." Then I left, leaving them more than a little confused.

Lol, congrats on confusing 2 members of a really popular band.

    Anyways, that's an interesting story.

How many bands have you met?

I like the band, I do, and I like their songs, but they seem a bit repetitive. I don't like their previous album, I only like "A Beautiful Lie."

I think 'The Kill' is the perfect emo coming out song! Haha.

SEE? Perfect emo coming out song! I TOLD YOU!

^That's like my mom's favorite song. I should say "Mom, according to Sean on EC, it's the perfect emo coming out song. Congrats on your emo coming out!"

Seriously, The Kill is a great song. Even if you don't use it as an emo coming out song.

Quite a few. My work brings me in contact with them. 99% of them have been cool.

I know this is an old topic but I was about to post the same thing with the same two videos... BUT I search my topic before I post it. *cough* *Hint HINT Do the same and there won't be multiple topics of the SAME THING!!!* *cough* Sorry, something in my throat... I think it was logic. Good thing that is gone.

Anyways, Jared Leto... Can I just say in From Yesterday I nearly cried for the beauty of that man's body... Something about it... trim... in shape but not overly done... simple... The way it was presented in the video..

The VIDEO... man. I loved that video. The theme/feel/everything. The sword fight at the end. All the things they see... I loved it.

I actually discovered them through the game Rock Band. They have two songs in the rock band downloadable content store (Attack and The Kill), and when I organized the list by bands, they were first. The album cover looked interesting, so I listened to the previews and fell in love with Attack. The Kill is pretty good to, but Attack is really the only emo song I really like.

I liked this band for about 10 seconds when I hard their first single, I think it was called Attack or something like that. Not long after I grew bored of them, and Jared Leto always irritated me for some reason.

The Kill was my first ring tone EVER. (I got my cell phone late in life...)

As much as I loved singing along when someone called... it started with "Come break me down...." and uh... those who listened to the song... that isn't a smooth crescendo into awareness... it kinda just yells it at ya... Scared the shit out of me every time... but I sang along anyways!
