Anyone know some good software that i can record from my webcam? Seeing as its a normal DV camera i can record and place it on the computer but id prefer a direct recording. Cheers
I've never tried it but I believe VLC Media Player can do it. There is a streaming/transcoding wizard that lets you select a video/audio device and transcode it with either of several different popular codecs into a file. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ As I've said, I've personally never used it to do what you're doing. It's just my choice of media player and from poking around through some of the options and settings, it appears that it has this functionality. Good luck.
