    To the poster above, good call on Closer. I forgot about that song, it's great.

    Other cool bands with LGBTQ members - Vampire Weekend, Torche, Deerhunter, Against Me! (Singer is most prominent trans musician - their new album just came out and it's the singer's first since becoming a woman)

    hmm the only ones i know (that havent already been mentioned) are the clicks (singer is trans male) and placebo (bisexual, but their first self titled album has a lot of songs about gay relationships, like nancy boy) i know you said you don't like punk. idk what your type is, but the clicks are categorized by itunes as "rock" and placebo as "indie rock"
