I haven't seen attack on titan yet. But i've heard its good.

I'm what you'd probably call a casual anime fan, but my favorite story of all time is a manga-turned-anime called Ranma 1/2. I've been a fan since I was 16, and I've never really outgrown it.

Those are definitely my top three, and lately I've been wanting to check out Fairy Tail.

 

I like animes that are unique in their art and don't kill plot by adding hundreds of tropes.
So, anything from Studio Ghibli fits that category. One Piece has a lovely art style, though it shares the aspect of a main character with a burning desire to become the best and gets tons of power-ups in a fight (as well as fight for friendship, blah, blah, "justice", etc. etc.) with mainstreams like Naruto, Bleach, and FT. In a real fight, the enemy doesn't let your friends encourage you into a power boost; he kills you.
Cowboy Bebop is also lovely, as well as Mushishi, Natsume Yuujinchou, and House of Five Leaves.
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood because yes, it's a bit stereotypical with a good-guy main character like Edward, but it has tons of political intrigue and it's stunning how well the story progresses. Not too fast, and not too slow. cerca. 60 episodes, but all of them worth watching.
Clannad/Clannad Afterstory gets a special spot because though the characters are too pretty and unrealistic by looks, they have wonderful personalities and the story is so beautiful.

 

I'm coming out of an extreme phase where I watched way too much anime, but I still enjoy the medium. My top 5 are Puella Magi Madoka Magica (hence the signature), Fullmetal Alchemist (2003 version, NOT Brotherhood), Shin Sekai Yori, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Kino's Journey. I generally prefer seinen and shoujo to shounen and josei.

I'm watching a few different anime right now, only one of which, Kill la Kill, is still ongoing. Now there's a weird anime...

 

Berserk, Death Note, Akagi, Hajime no Ippo, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Angel Beats, Monster, Ga-Rei Zero, Ouran Highschool Host Club, Rozen Maiden, Soul Eater, Darker Than Black, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Higurashi, Hetalia, Elfen Lied, Mirai Nikki, Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu, Sword Art Online, Gintama, Danganronpa, Code Geass, Shakugan no Shana, Lucky Star, Fate Stay Night, etc etc etc. Some of them are much better than others! Add around 150 to that list because I can't remember them all. I've got a list on another computer.

Best anime I've seen yet? Death Note or Berserk. Worst anime I've seen yet = Mars of Destruction.

I am reading the Blue Exorcist manga. It's good enough for me to preorder every volume at least. I saw the anime 2 or 3 years ago.

 

It really depends. I'm not hugely into anime...but there are some exceptions. I don't really like the sense of humor in most animes, finding it goofy and obnoxious.
