Because I know a lot of y'all are watching. Post your running commentary here.

I'm enjoying the figure skating so much more now that I'm gay hahaha. And I find it hilarious that Johnny Weir is doing commentary.

To be fair, as much as I like the Olympics, the fact that they are being controlled in such a way by Putin puts me off completely.

I'll probably watch the Snowboarding and bobsleigh tho!

So I watched the Biathlon, which isn't a very popular sport in the UK but I was really into it when I was younger. Bjørndalen is now the joint most successful Winter Olympian in any discipline by number of medals and the oldest Winter Olympian gold medallist, (he's 40, it's insane!)... watch this space to see if he overtakes Bjørn Daehlie.

I can't wait for the speed skating to get started. That's by far my favorite Winter Olympics sport.

Besides speed skating I'm a fan of slopestyle too.

I like figure skating but I really don't like ice dancing.

I'm excited about freestyle skiing and snowboarding. Also, the snowboarding half pipe.

I am essentially only paying attention to skating. I have to admit, although Julia Lipnitskaia is with Russia, she slaughtered the Ladies Short Singles.

You can't help but wonder how much age can play a role in how these athletes view their competition. Sure, the noble thing is to have an equal amount of respect for all of your fellow competitors, not only in sports, but in competition in general; however, you have to think that they are only human and to be in your twenties and be completely outshined by a fifteen year-old has to sting that much more.

Pretty pumped for hockey (and enjoy Zach Parise's perfect face). 2010 is still painful to think about.

Anyway, Team USA is going to be pretty strong again, but I think it was a big mistake leaving Yandle and Pominville off the team, especially the former.

This, although I'm not as avid a NHL follower. Really the only Winter event I look forward to.

I've watched quite a few events so far, but it's been very difficult for me to avoid Twitter, TSN, and all my usual sports sites to avoid finding out the results in advance of NBC's broadcasts. I hate that they don't show many live events.

You enjoy Parise. That means I get Cam Fowler all to myself :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    Sounds good to me.

Ryan Kesler isn't too bad to look at either.

Also, I could never support Team Canada, but I gotta root for fellow Mercyhurst Laker Meghan Agosta.

She was just about unstoppable in Vancouver in 2010.
