Does anyone have any favourite inspirational films?

I haven't seen that many movies, but two that stand out is 'pay it forward' and Rocky in terms of inspiration, with a side serving of deep and meaningful themes.

For me it's Disney's Frozen. lol
I know the movie is about a sisterly-bond. But metaphorically speaking if you imagine Elsa's powers aren't magic but that she's gay or bi, then the story has a whole different meaning.

    I can watch a movie,
or Anime, or read a book,
and draw a deep inspirational/spiritual meaning from the story. Though I Psychologically or Philosophically analyze every thing. lol

I would say the morals found in Frozen are that you shouldn't be afraid of who you are but you should accept who you are. True Love isn't always of a romantic kind, some times true love can be found with our family or friends as a different kind of love but still very powerful. And lastly the best thing in Frozen is that it teaches Love can thaw a Frozen Heart. Their is so much meaning in that movie, it's the most moving film Disney has done since, well ever.

    Also:
    The Nightmare before Christmas:
"Even if you try new things and fail, at least you gave it your best, so don't get disheartened when you fail, yet in every thing you do try to stay true to who you are and don't lose touch with your true self."

One of my favorites is an indian movie called Taare Zameen Par

A young imaginative boy full of imagination and life has happiness essentially beaten out of him by his teachers and his family for not being a "winner" at life until one day his substitute art teacher begins to help unlock his potential.

If you can stand doing subtitles, I highly recommend this.

I know this is a Christmas movie, but it's called Home For Christmas. Starring Linda Hamilton. A wonderful movie about hope

I really liked "Les Intouchables" it's a French film. It's a very good film and I recommend it to everyone. It's available with subtitles on Netflix.

I'm not even religious but this film touched me so deeply...and the message of it was one that brought me to tears upon first seeing it.

For those unfamiliar, its based on the true story of a platoon of English, French and German soldiers during World War One who agree to a ceasefire on Christmas Eve and spend the evening talking and sharing food, drink and stories of their lives with one another. They come together in that one moment not as enemies, but as human beings brought together by what this holiday should represent...not the materialism or the commercialization, but the inherent goodwill and humanity we CAN show one another. It delves into these friendships made across enemy lines and what that will entail come the following days when battle resumes...how will one be able to point a rifle and fire to kill upon a man he called friend not a few hours ago.

When you sit down and watch it, its difficult to believe humanity can be this good and kind. The strong and powerful friendships that are built really shows the sacrifice and heartache these men went through so they didn't have to do this again. The men here portray the peace and love that Christmas should be about...and its so powerful and moving.

I love " The Opposite of Sex"

Does that say something about me? ;-)

I've watched "Beautiful Thing" loads of times and it still makes me teary.

also "a Man of No Importance" a beautiful and sad film now a musical the CD of which is also a favourite of mine. (You just have to love who you love)
