Anybody like the 'Rent' musical which was a very gay-themed musical I loved all their songs. I love all kinds of musicals such as Les Mesirable, The Lion King, Miss Saigon and so on and so fourth. Feel free to share your musical faves and opinions. Can't wait to hear all about them.
I'd be a bad gay if I didn't like musicals! Rent, Avenue Q, and Les Mis are my favorites. And I'll be seeing Book of Mormon later this spring, which from everything I hear is AMAZING!
I can't stand rent, it and Rocky Horror Picture Show are just not for me. I do, however, enjoy almost any Disney musical. I loved phantom of the Opera, and Avenue Q has some hilarious songs though I can't say I've ever watched the musical
My favorite musicals..... Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street The Phantom of the Opera The Rocky Horror Picture Show My Fair Lady
I am a Broadway lover 1. Wicked -- saw it a month ago and cried, yes, cried 2. Rent 3. Book of Mormon 4. Avenue Q and so much more...
I like Rent...I do wanna see Book of Mormon and Avenue Q (listen to the songs) Seen Cats and a few Disney ones as well.

I d really like to see it someday
RENT is my favorite musical as well as probably my favorite movie. I love musicals in general, though. I've seen many live and have too many musical soundtracks to count on my ipod <3
Wicked, Miss Saigon, Les Mis, Book of Mormon (seeing it in the spring!), and Once on this Island are my favorites. I've basically been raised to be a theater geek
Wicked The Producers Les Miz Evita Sweeney Todd Westside Story Pippin ...and so many more...dying to see The Book of Mormon
Very nice do you also perform yourself in theatre? ---------- Post added 19th Feb 2014 at 10:16 PM ---------- I've never heard of once on this island, I might check that out
Rent hit really close to home for me, so I will always love it. Some others I love are Phantom of the Opera, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Repo! The Genetic Opera. ^^
A family friends cousin had a leading role in the Broadway production of rent and was supposed to be in the movie but couldn't for family reasons. I'm kind of glad that I didn't tell her that I haven't seen Rent or she'd force me to see it.
I like Rent, though I've had issues being around it again after my chorus class bastardized it on stage. The only others I remember seeing are Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story and I think little bits of Fiddler on the Roof.
If you like, there's always Youtube! I feel like I should say Little Shop of Horrors is a favorite, considering I've been in it, but... yeah, no. I enjoy the songs, but the musical itself is 'eh' for me. Also not a huge fan of Fiddler on the Roof, Oklahoma, or West Side Story. Just never got really into them. My favorites, in no particular order, are probably: Little Women - the first musical I ever saw performed on stage Wicked - first because its awesome and second because it *would* be the first I ever saw on stage if my aunt hadn't decided it was too mature for her nieces to see Gypsy In the Heights Bye Bye Birdy
I have to admit to being a huge musical theatre fan, so my favourite musicals list is a long one! Of the more modern shows, I love "Parade", "A Man of No Importance", "Passion", "A New Brain". Of the slightly older shows, "Pippin", and more or less anything by Stephen Schwartz, also the Sondheims - particularly "Merrily We Roll Along", the Bock and Harnicks ("She Loves Me" "The Rothschilds"), Bernstein's "Candide", "Romance, Romance", Maltby and Shire's "Baby" As you can tell, I tend to fall for the less popular ones! I also really enjoy the really old ones - Gershwins, Romburgs - all those opperetta types - sad I know, but I was brought up on them. As a Brit, I regret to say that I can't stand most Andrew LLoyd Webber - except perhaps "By Jeeves". I am quite envious of the musical scene in the US - well in NYC anyway, it seems much more vibrant and inventive than in the UK, where all our shows at the moment seem to be poor versions of popular films, or uninspiring revivals of old favourites! ---------- Post added 20th Feb 2014 at 02:26 PM ---------- Bye Bye Birdie - that is great!! I'd forgotten it until you mentioned it.
Wow thats pretty awesome. Do you know what role he/she would have played? That's too bad werent able to be in it. But you sure got away with it lol hehe ---------- Post added 20th Feb 2014 at 08:58 PM ---------- right on
