I'm a huge motorsports in general fan, and the Daytona 500 goes green in about 20 minutes. Aloe Blacc, singer of "The Man" is singing the national anthem. Go Junior!
Yeah! My driver had a pretty bad year last year, so let's hope he has a better one this year. Go Keselowski!
Keselowski's one of my favorites as well, and during ~2010, I hated Edwards and loved Keselowski.
I'm not really a fan but that's mainly because I can't get into it and I'm surrounded by it its very popular where I live and among my family.
It's interesting to see a new guy in the number 3 car. Not a bad race so far though. That maneuver that Kenseth did to get into his pit box was awesome xD
I used to be but I am not anymore since jimmie johnnson won another championship .but I will watch races I like . go Dale Jr

Yeah, what TheShyGuy said. I hate when people make fun of me for being a NASCAR fan or saying that it isn't a sport or a combination of the two. You try driving around that rack for 4 hours at those speeds. Tell me if you can walk afterward. They do so much and people don't realize it.
Not really a fan of the short tracks, But I looove the superspeedways such as TALLADEGA and of course Daytona. I fell asleep during the 500 though lol....Did they have "The big one?"
I think NASCAR gets a bad rap (I should know, because I use to bash it). Sure, most of us could hop in a car and drive around an oval a hundred times at 80, 90 mph. But how about at 145.29mph (Dale Jr.'s average speed during last night's race) while jockeying for position with twenty other drivers also going 145mph?? I know I'd consider myself lucky if I could make it to a second lap. The skill these drivers possess is immense. But there's also a lot of strategy involved - passing, drafting, pit stops, etc. They don't win by blind luck (well, a little luck's always involved in any sport, but you know what I mean!). And as far as the repetition argument goes, any sport could be accused of that. Take basketball, for instance. Team 1 dribbles, passes, dribbles, shoots. Team 2 dribbles, passes, dribbles, shoots. Team 1 dribbles, passes, dribbles, shoots. And so on and so forth, with the occasional foul thrown in. One might say that's a gross oversimplification, but then again, so is saying NASCAR is just turning left a few times and hitting the straightaway. One might also say that I'm overlooking all the fantastic, exciting plays inherit to a basketball game, like a spectacular dunk or fadeaway three with a few seconds left. But, when one simplifies NASCAR to just turning, driving straight, turning, etc., one overlooks all the exciting things inherit to a race. Now, all that being said, I am not a fan of NASCAR. But I have come to respect the sport and the drivers, and give it credit where it's due.
Raceday! There's been some rain this weekend at Phoenix, but let's hope we get the whole race in today! NASCAR has been unlucky with weather so far this season.
It's only the second race of the season xD It worked out for Nationwide series last night so it may this morning. Again, go Keselowski!
I actually don't mind Nascar at all, and kind of wish it was more popular in Canada. Even the history of it is much more interesting than a lot of other sports; not that history really dictates entertainment value. There is just a lot more to it.
Yeah, the whole moonshine thing is a lot more interesting than other sports history, eh? See, I can talk like a Canadian!
So, Jr ran out of gas on the last lap today to fall from the lead and win, down to second. Oh well, this is a great start for him. A win and back to back second place finishes. Let's get back to Victory Lane at Thunder Valley next week!
