What do you guys think about TwichPlaysPokemon? Do y'all love it or do y'all not give a rat's ass about Pokemon? In any case, it actually is interesting as Twitch.tv is usually a site to show live stuff. Well somebody put up an emulator and the people on Twitch put in commands that tell the emulator what to do. Neat, huh? It can get pretty amusing, and rediculous, at times. For example, as of right now, we're battling stuff until we black out. We were actually out of the Pokemon Mansion but for some reason we're back in. Link is: Twitch Last but not least, HAIL LORD HELIX!!
I'm a pretty big Pokefan (my user name and icon) so when I first heard about TPP, I really thought the concept was neat. But as I really started getting into the mythos and community being created from it, I became fascinated. I frequent the Reddit board. I don't actually input commands though and just hang around as the bystander. They are actually getting pretty close to the Elite Four. I'm impressed that they might actually beat the game! Through everything that's been going on, that's pretty damn cool.
Oh I'm a HUGE Pokenerd! I've got at least two games from every generation since gen 3. And i'm also a huge sucker for all of the memes TwitchPlaysPokemon has spawned. Anarchy under the reign of the Helix Fossil! Oh, and didn't Omanyte evolve already? In other words, THE LORD HAS COME. But in all seriousness, TwitchPlaysPokemon has to be one of the greatest social experiments in human history!
Agreed, TPP has been totally awesome. I just went on right now and i don't think Omanyte has evolved yet. I want to see how long it takes for them to get through the boulder puzzle in Vic Road.
Lord Helix and Bird Jesus take us to the promise land! Like what Abbra said, the community has made TPP amazing with all the art, media, memes, etc. I've also heard once they finish Red, TPP will continue on to either Gold or Silver.
Dude, they are at the elite four and Venomoth took down Lance's Dragonite. They have been sent back a lot since then, but it's certainly progress.
Dude, everyone at my Univ is watching this and I actually saw the Venomoth taking down Dragonite. It was fucking awesome. I think I'll stay up all night and watch it
Ok I need someone to answer a question for me It broadcasting on Twitch legal? I used to broadcast on another site I won't mention but was turned off and never did it again I want to broadcast on Twitch but I can seem to get a clear answer of the legality since you are using games such as Pokemon of CoD or whatever
Broadcasting on Twitch is legal. Hell, they broadcast Pokemon tournaments on there, ---------- Post added 28th Feb 2014 at 11:30 PM ---------- The thing I hate most is that they're trying to thunder Onyx to death
Oh man, Golbat is really ugly. Seriously. Dat Golbat tongue. 16 days in, and... Wow. I can't believe we got to the Elite 4. Yes, I have a Twitch account, but I'm not telling you what my name is.
I wonder how long it took to get through Victory Road. Additionally, I'm surprised they got to Blue once. And fair enough. I'm quite familiar with no off-site contact info being told.
As was I. I actually set an an alarm to wake up and when I did I had found out they won. I then jumped onto YouTube and found the final battle. It seems like this was the only battle they were in agreement what to do (for the exception of repetedly selecting Secret Key and TMS)
