I personally recommend you read Dracula by Bram Stoker and if you get it from amazon, you can find copies from the barnes and noble book store that are leatherbound with the old spines which look amazing

It might be hard to find, but 'The Last Rune' series written by Mark Anthony is amazing. The first book is called 'Beyond the Pale' and it is the most gripping set of books I have ever read. It's medieval fantasy.

1984 by George Orwell, it's interesting from the start and manages to maintain that interest throughout.

Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" series is a great blend of western, high fantasy, science fiction and horror. Great stuff!

I also recommend Ursula LeGuin's classic book "The Lathe of Heaven" about a man whose dreams can alter reality.

Sherman Alexie's "Smoke Signals" is a great read as well.

The Spook's Apprentice by some author (I forgot his name). I dunno I don't usually read but I always make time to read the newer books that comes out in this series. I'm going to be a total nerd and watch the movie when it's released like next year.

The first two are my sphere.

Percy Jackson? Rick Riordan is magic.
FEED (Newsflesh Series) by Mira Grant is amazing, but tough to get into.
Tomorrow When The War Began (Tomorrow Series) by John Marsden
    Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld
I Am Not A Serial Killer by Dan Wells is good. Dark.
Cruel Summer by James Dawson. A teenage-led 'whodunnit'.
Any David Levithan, normally a gay storyline too.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time - by Mark Haddon.

It's an easy read, not that many pages and the language is simple.

The main protagonist is Christopher, who is 15 years old and has asperger's. He discovers the dead body of Wellington (the neighbour's dog) speared by a garden fork. He decides to investigate the dog's death, however, he is severely limited by his fears and difficulties when interpreting the world around him.

Personal opinion; I enjoyed this book. I've read mostly fantasy and young adult, and some literature classics. This wasn't necessarily under any of those categories, but I think it's an overall good book for anyone who is interested. And if you haven't read a book in ages I think this might be a book for you. I myself like to read, but I'm a lousy reader and on top of that very picky - and even I finished this book.

I really liked Legends of the Fall. A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Child Soldier. Les Miserables is a beautiful book (the unabridged version, of course).

One of the few books I have loathed is the Band of Brothers. I felt the BBC series put the book to shame. :\

The Otherworld Series by Yasmine Galenorn

It's a fantastic series that has everything you could want in it. I'm a bit behind in it due to certain circumstances, but it's a fantastic read.

    Fallout: Equestria by Kkat

What's better than mixing post-appocalyptic horrors with colorful little ponies? Almost nothing.

Oooh! I almost forgot. A lot of Yaoi. First one I read was Crimson Spell and I highly reccomend it
