Any Skrillex fans out there? Listened to his new EP? Out on Monday, I'm really feeling "Recess" and "Ease my mind" but its all amazing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RVpon6b_34
I'm listening to it right now. It's the first time that I've had the chance really. What I've heard so far is really good! There's a lot of Jamaican influence on what I have heard so far, and I like that.
It's the influence of Diplo and Mad Decent I think! I'd say the equivalent to Cinema is "Ease my mind" , then kyoto and bangarang would probably be "All Is Fair In Love And Brostep" , "ragga bomb" and "Recess" And obviously "Try it out" but its been out for some time!
Diplo is awesome. New trap music is something I'm getting into so I'll have to look into this for my ride home today (need entertainment for 2 and a half hours).
I'm really into Dirty Vibe....and that's probably because I'm biased to CL and G-Dragon's vocals on the song
I dont know if I can already post in here but... I guess I can. So yeah, I didnt expected ANYONE here to be talking about Recess but world is full of surprises isnt it? I had little to no expectations on this album (not that I dont like Skrillex or anything but making an album is no easy task) and turns out I got very very surprised by it. I still think it would have worked better with less songs and an EP status but Skrillboy made a really good work here. Some songs show some... maturity? Progression on his style. ''All is fair in love and brostep'' is my fav of all, idk why, probably cause it was a hell of a first impression and something about the way they say ''entertainer'' makes me wanna dance all night So... yeah, I guess thats it o.o
Have you read the lyrics for it?Difficult to understand at first but they are so cool! He also said in an interview that he has over 40 songs he made for the album. There might be another release soon, basically.
Lyrics are all over the internet I dont have any idea how someone understood them but its not that important either, only song where lyrics may have ANY meaning at all is ''Fire Away'' and that is easily understandable. To be honest that is probably my second favorite here, Im a little bit emotional when it comes to certain things and somehow that song got me the feels you know? Sounds so... needy and depressing.
