So lately after an eight year hiatus, I've been getting into anime again. I'm really into the sillier anime, like Squid Girl, Okami-san and her Seven Companions, and recently I've been watching K-On! I'm also into the more serious, less sci-fi like Eden of the East. Any suggestions?
Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Sword Art Online, Attack on Titan and Tiger and Bunny my favorite anime shows.
Death Note, The Future Diary and the first two White Knight mentioned are some of the best animes I've watched.

If you liked Eden of the East, then I recommend Mushi-shi (also on Netflix), Serial Experiment Lain, Wolf and Spice, Kino's Journey (one of my personal favourites), and then DEFINITELY try Sword Art Online!
Magoka Magicka's good, its like Sailor Moon written by a cynical insane person. Nichijou is hilarious, its completely out of whack with reality.
Fate zero is pretty legit. Among other genres, it includes horror. One of the scenes that caught me off guard made me realize that it has horror elements to it, lol. You can give it a try. I honestly enjoyed it more than Fate stay night.
If you like k-on! You might like non non biyori. Also Kiniro mosaic, sakura trick, baka to test. As for some serious anime, FMA 03, attack on titan, no.6. And then theres strawberry panic! Its kinda serious.
