    I finally saw it, it's ok. I don't think the amount of singing in it was nessecary.

    True that. I just saw it tonight and was not overwhelmed. It rode very hard on leeway granted because "it's Disney." With that said, I did like that it was unconventional in romantic results and Elsa's powers were awesome. Maybe I'm too old for Disney movies, but other parts were just gratuitous or eye-rolling.

    But another shout-out to Idina Menzel because she's my other vocalist hero. :love:

    I honestly think this is one of the movies where, no matter how many times I see it and hear the music, I will never truly get sick of it. Very few movies have that spot for me. Star Wars and BTTF are a couple. The Lion King also is. And now Frozen :slight_smile:

    I think I'm the only person who doesn't love this movie. I saw it a few months ago and thought the songwriting was terrible. Sure, the plot had a few funny moments ("big summer blowout!!!"), but the music was nothing spectacular in my opinion.

    And with that it's also crept into the Top 10 Grossing Movies of all Time (Worldwide). It'll probably get up to 6th by the time its run ends. Incredible! Deserves every penny!

    Frozen is one of those movies I can watch multiple times without getting sick of it.
    It's rare to find a movie like that, ESPECIALLY nowadays.

    Elsa's personality and life story are so similar to mine that it's almost as if Disney spyed on my personal life for ideas! :lol:

    I know the lyrics to Let it Go by heart. :grin:
    My best friend wants me to sing it to her, but I can't sing... :icon_redf

    Frozen seems to be one of those movies where people love it, or find it meh because it doesn't live up to the impossibly high hype set by people who really really love it.

    Its definitely in my top 5 disney movies, although I dunno if its in my favorite movies. Its a fantastic movie nonetheless.

    Is Frozen something to do with LGBT issues or something? I keep hearing stuff about it in connection with LGBT. I havent seen the movie.

    I haven't watched it either but based on what I have heard, the movie does not explicitly deal with LGBT issues. There are some socially conservative groups over here that see the movie as pushing the "gay agenda". As someone who's gay, I have no idea what the hell they mean by said agenda...

    The only connection is having some trait that you need to keep secret and then having it brought out. It could be an allegory to Christian fundamentalism for how they interpret it.

    I saw the connection the first time I saw it!! I mean, let it go is a coming out of the closet song in my opinion :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: but it can be applied to other situations as well I guess.

    But still with or without this connection, I loved this movie :icon_bigg

    I think the true charm in Frozen is that many people who are undermined by society for whatever reason can find a way to relate to it on a deep & meaningful level! The same goes for Let It Go the song!
