Right now, I'm reading The Naming by Alison Croggon (also called The Gift outside the US). It's fantasy.

I love all of Tamora Pierce's books.
The Valdemar, Bardic Voices, Dragon Jousters, Elemental Masters, Elvenbane Chronicles, and 500 Kingdoms series by Mercedes Lackey...basically most of her high fantasy, but not her urban fantasy.
    Bartimaeus Trilogy
    The Help
    Some of Anne McCaffrey's stuff
What I've read of Robin McKinley's is good
    Harry Potter
    A Little Princess
    Howl's Moving Castle (yes, it's a book)
    His Dark Materials

Mostly fantasy, as you can see! I have A Song of Fire and Ice on my to-read list, among others.

One of my favourite Series was Spellsinger by Allen Dean Foster.

I read all eight books in about 2 months because I enjoyed them so much.

    Happy days
