Never watched hentai. Though this isn't anime, I've heard there's Kim Possible porn. Personally that one would feel like destroying my childhood, lol. If that's what people like, good for them, I won't judge, but I could never be into that :lol:
I've seen a couple doc's on Japan that mentioned it. It is one of the contributions to Japan's decreasing population. People are becoming satiated sexually through other means other than sex. Hentai satisfies this, and since it is more popular and socially acceptable there, many guys opt to not even engage in chasing the opposite sex. So my thought on Hentai I guess, are sterile thoughts. Porn is a good substitute, but to the degree that Hentai has become a substitute for actual human relations, it isn't a good substitute. Then again, the planets already overpopulated so maybe it is a good thing. There is also an increasing popularity among women to read "Homosexual" Hentai, which doesn't depict gay men explicitly, but does allude to a homosexual relationship. Which is kind of weird, because in the West, girls aren't really turned on by gay men, and it's more boys that are turned on by gay women.
As long as it doesn't involve underaged people, rape (tentacle or otherwise), murder/torture or any other form of illegal crap I guess it's not too bad. Pretty sure that just differs from person to person rather than being "one truth" about the female population of entire continents. I have heard a lot of western girls complain that "all the good men plays for the other team", so yeah there is that too.
