    Who's ready for playoff hockey?!

    I know there are some hockey fans here on EC. Did your favorite team make it, or are you hopping on a bandwagon? Anybody see a potential dark horse? Which first-round matchup are you most looking forward to? Player-wise, who do you think'll be the stars of the show?

    Ughhh. My team is the Canucks. Annnd we had a terrible season. So, I am thinking I am either going to cheer for Montreal or Detroit. It is kind of sad not having play off hockey for the first time in a long time. :frowning2:

    The NHL Playoffs are my favorite time of the year, hands down… My favorite team are the Capitals. Adam Oates is probably one of the worst NHL Coaches, he hasn’t a clue what he doing neither does George McPhee… I like Blackhawks too, so I hoping for repeat. LET’S GO HAWKS! Can’t wait until tonight just relax, drink beer, and watch hockey… life is good…

    Pretty much. Every game against them just gets so amped up too. If it helps, I despise Boston quite a bit more, simply because of how the play the game. They play very old school rough, sometimes borderline cheap, while when we are bringing in some bigger guys now, our team is very skill-focused. We don't have many big guys to stand up for our players lol.

    What do you think of John Tortorella, do you think he should get fired? I remember like it was yesterday when he threw a water bottle at fan at a Capitals Home game. Lol, he has tune it down a bit though.

    I don't really follow Hockey, but being born in Michigan, I'd like to see a down and out city like Detroit win...they need a few good things to happen.

    Haha, Torts is certainly one of a kind. Such a gem with some the shit he pulls, like trying to go after the Calgary coach in their locker room. It will be interesting to see if he get fired or not. I was really happy with the decision to hire Trevor Linden as the President so I think he will make a lot of positive changes.
