Everyone goes through tough times and I'm guessing people of the LGBT community have it even tougher! What are some songs that have helped you get through these times - be it when you were coming out/figuring out your sexuality/feeling low or even just lonely.

Katy Perry's Firework is one I listen to a lot

Nowadays we are luckier than my teenager days. Many people show support to us LGBT or straight.

I like Gaga's "Born This Way", song has very strong meaning.

For me, I feel good song was Human Nature by Madonna. Song is more about herself but I always find it also rings a bit true for us, free spirits.

    Atmosphere by Joy Division.

It's meant to be quite a sad song but I've always found it to be rather inspiring and uplifting in a twisted sort of way. It's also the song I always tend to listen to when I'm down and it was also the song I listened to to "cheer myself up" after realising I wasn't straight

Christina Perry "A thousand years ". I pretty much tear up before the end. When you've seen Twilight it gets emotional for me. :tears:

I like Firework, too! But, I do prefer bittersweet by Panic!at the disco. I don't know why, it makes me so happy~

Britt Nicole - Headphones was my favourite song to block out the world and make me happy~ i usually listened to the nightcore version though ^.^

Also one time when i was feeling sort of suicidal (im happy again now) the song Coffin by Black veil Brides had strong meaning ^.^

This is one of the millions of songs my mom and I used to listen to in the car...

Aside from the nostalgia factor, the beat is very soothing. It helps calm me down whenever I'm moody.
