I mostly listen to old music, mostly blues, oldies, 80's, and classic rock. My range tends to be 1950's blues to 1990's alternative, though I like some older jazz too, and I'm having a hard time finding modern musicians that I like. I enjoy Katzenjammer and The Sheepdogs, but I'm not a fan of the "sound" of most modern music, specifically mainstream pop. I'm always discovering older musicians that I didn't know existed before, but I want a bigger range as there is only so much older music out there and I'd like to listen to musicians that release new albums and such as well. Are there any good musicians that sound kinda classic rockish and bluesy (like The Sheepdogs) that I can enjoy?
Right now I'm listening to the band Bush. You have to check out Glycerine by them. Maybe Creed would be a good choice, too.
You may like a musician called Ty Segall. All but his latest album are rather retro garage/blues esque and very anti-pop.
Thanks for the recommendations! I've heard that Rusted Roots song before...I remember it in Ice Age, haha. And Ty Segall sounds nice. I'll listen to more of his stuff. I've heard Bush's stuff...listening to it I'm remembering the songs. My dad used to play Glycerine all the time
