Are there any books that you would like to see film adaptations of? If so, which? And who do you think would be good to play some if the characters? Happy days
Dead Witch Walking. Eragon (the movie was really crappy as adaption so it doesn't count!) Maybe also Godspeed.
As a kid I loved Belgariad series (can't remember the author right now) and I always imagined seeing it on the screen... If done properly it could be bigger than Harry Potter was.
Exactly! Glad to know I'm not the only one . They should do something with it imo because it's like LOTR x1000 in terms of scale, epicness and history. So much potential. Or, if the Silmarillion's too long, he could always do a film for The Children of Hurin. I know these have already been tried to some degree, but I wish they'd finished the His Dark Materials trilogy on film, that was an awesome trilogy, and done a proper film version of Titus Groan and Gormenghast.
I would really want to see Aristotle & Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe as a film! It's a great coming out story and I recommend everyone to read the book!
"The Bell Jar" by Sylvia Plath. I'd just hope it'd be produced very well and not end up in a meat ####### like how the first Twilight movie ended up being.
I would be ecstatic if Frank Darabont adapted the Stephen King/Richard Bachman book The Long Walk. It has to be Darabont, he is the only person who understands Kings work. The Long Walk is complex and anyone else would screw it up royally (like almost every movie based off King books that he wasn't involved with...)
Slaughterhouse Five would be a good movie though I doubt it'd do well in the theatres since it is a bit scatterbrained. Siddartha by Herman Hesse would be a really good movie too.
