Seriously, I think YouTube boyfriends are the only reason I'm not crazy going through my teen years being gay and not out to everybody in this conservative Asian country. They encourage me to be in my own skin and they display that their life is just as normal as everyone else no matter whom they date! When I first embraced the fact that I was gay (and came out firstly to my beloved sister!) I found out about Davey Wavey and Tyler Oakley and wondered how easy for them to speak out and be open in their own skin. I am not fully out yet, since I am living in a highly religious conservative country, but I am not afraid if the closest people around me find out. From YouTube mostly I learn that people who loves you will try to understand you, no matter what, even in the start they aren't fond of the idea of you being gay. I'm so lucky for these amazing GLBT people on YouTube: 1) shep689 (Will & RJ; their daily vlogs show how NORMAL a gay couple can be. They're also known as NotAdamandSteve) 2) MarkE Miller (Mark & Ethan; proves to me that the gay community now is so diverse. I used to think that there won't be buff rough & tough gay guys out there who would be out and proud and have boyfriends, but these two adorbss completely prove me otherwise. Their love story is so cute and so normal!) 3) V-Squared (Vinny & Luke; they started out their channel after they are married. They've been in long-distance relationship for YEARS and ended up as husbands!) There are more, seriously, but all I'm saying is I'm so lucky to be in this modern era where there's social media I can look up to in searching for gay role models. Definitely if you are dealing with coming out issues be sure to check these people out, especially if you are still in your teen years (like ME) :icon_bigg
Tell me about it! It's wonderful to live in an era where we can have access to other lgtb people :3 I follow both Lush (Nick and Matt) and Girlfriends Tv.
i follow V Squared too, they're soo adorable (takes a lot for me to say that haha =P) i follow shep689 every once in a while, it does seem a bit irritating and exhausting to see them everyday, but yea they definitely seem like just a normal couple. rj's addresses a few issues here and there and it's cool to see a gay dude like him aware of it and mature to talk about it Markemiller for some reason comes across as sexual.....i don't know why, might be just me.they do introduce some interesting issues every once in a while. Lush is too cheesy. blehhh. lol david levitz and neil mcneil are starting off. i don't know any other gay men couple, but i would like to see more of them. hearing their stories and what they have to offer are pretty interesting.
I watch Will & RJ and Mark & Ethan occasionally. The awkward kiss video by Mark and Ethan is my favorite. THEY ARE SO CUTE ;-; Spoiler And the proposal Will made to RJ was so funny. RJ was like, "Why the fuck not?"
Will and RJ and Matthew and Nick are my two favorites. Spoiler Also, whenever Will talked about his alcoholism and how he had been two months sober, it kind of hit home for me, since I've had a family history of alcoholism, and I respected him a lot more for sharing it with his audience.
I love Matt and Nick too. OMG WE FORGOT DAN AND BRIAN (mallow610). They are actually the FIRST gay couple I subscribed on YouTube! If there are any channels, the new ones especially, that I missed, please LET ME KNOW! I need more of them in my life.
Yes, I subscribe to a few of them. I think I like dan and brian the most. They are exactly what I want in a relationship. And they such wholesome people as well. Mark and Ethan are also quite cool. So comfortable with their relationship.
I love Nick and Matt, I also used to watch the videos Patrick Quirky used to make with his ex when they were together.
I used to watch Ken and Nick's video. My Boyfriend Does My Makeup Tag (Ken & Nick) - YouTube this one is pretty funny and cute.
OMG I actually cried when I found out that Patrick Quirky and his boyfriend broke up. Their Boyfriend Tag video is one of the best, I think.
Matt and Nick are awesome! Another famous channel that is ran by a gay couple is ASAPscience. Obviously it's a scientific channel but still they are a gay couple! Love 'em.
