Is anybody else here a fan of horror games? If so, what games have you played? I love Outlast and Slender, and I intend to buy more horrors on my birthday.
I was horrified by Monopoly. :roflmao: Ok that doesn't count. I once played Slender and never again!! They're fun but when playing alone it's just too scary
Not sure if I do like them, I have played Resident Evil:Veronica, and Parasite Eve 2. Parasite Eve 2 is probably the only game I really loved in that genre.
If you like horror games, Amnesia: The Dark Descent is the one for you. First person horror game with an incredible atmosphere. I nearly peed myself multiple times. It's longish too, and has a great story. There's loads of custom mods to download once you've played through the game itself, as well. Just.. watch a trailer or a Youtube video. Bricks will be shat. The sequel, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is equally horrifying, but the fear in AMfP was caused more so by the storyline than the gameplay for me! Dark Descent is awful in every sense..
I love watching other people play, but once the controller gets into my hands I AM A MESS. My fear reaction is dont move and curl up into a ball, which doesnt help if you have an insane mutant alien serial killer sprinting towards you... :/
I only watch pewds play, but I did play some games that has horror elements in them like bioshock and thief !
Obscure is great! It's the typical teenage-horror like in films (e.g. The Faculty) You play with a group of teenagers at their high school.. (you can switch between all playable characters. Each of them has kind of a special ability that could be useful for different situations). Students disappear, students are somehow infected and strange things are happening. It's also a multiplayer game. And.it was.fun.to play with someone and not alone. Sometimes the game was scary as hell.
I love horror games! Some of my favorites: The Silent Hill series The Resident Evil series Siren Rule of Rose etc. I'm not too familiar with Outlast or Slender. I'll have to look into those.
FATAL FRAME, MOTHER FUCKERS!!! sorry but seriously, Fatal Frame. Rule of Rose looks wicked but I missed the opportunities to buy it when it was affordable and I'm too lazy and tech-illiterate to emulate it well. Silent Hill 3 is also one of my favourite games ever, holla
