sooo, I'm house-sitting while my parents are away for the next few days. School just ended. I can't drive and we live in the middle of nowhere, so what can I do besides get obsessed with a new TV show? Don't worry, I'll be productive too. Shows I like. Italicized are my favorites. Alcatraz Alias Alphas Arrow Bones Castle Continuum Covert Affairs Criminal Minds Crossing Jordan Defiance Doctor Who Dollhouse Eureka Firefly Flashpoint Fringe Game Of Thrones Ghost Whisperer Grey's Anatomy Grimm Haven Homeland Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Lie To Me Lost Girl Medium Merlin Missing Nikita Numb3rs Once Upon A Time Orphan Black Perception Primeval Primeval: New World Private Practice Revenge Rizzoli & Isles Rookie Blue Saving Hope Sherlock Star-Crossed Switched At Birth Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles The 4400 The Fosters The Listener Torchwood Touch Unforgettable V Veronica Mars Warehouse 13 Without A Trace As you can see, I like sci fi, fantasy, action, crime/mystery and drama. I like strong female leads who kick lots of ass. Stuff I've watched and feel meh about. Don't hate, don't love. The Mentalist Arrow Revolution Lost Being Human I don't like comedy, western, or reality shows. Shows that get cancelled after one season make me sad. Challenge accepted?
I LOVE Veronica Mars. Did you watch the movie? It pretty much appealed to the fans the most though I would prefer to have a new season. I can recommend you Buffy the Vampire Slayer though I haven't seen that show for a lot of years now.
Yeah, tuliponacup is onto something with Buffy. That's a fantastic show. Also, Xena, though it's pretty hokey. In a fun way though. I also, kind of shamefully I will it admit, avidly watch Teen Wolf. Other favorites of mine include Supernatural (until season 6, tbh), X-files and Battlestar Galactica. I also LOVE to hate Vampire Diaries.
That's really awesome, I'm kinda guilty though since I watched it on Primewire though I would buy it on DVD soon
Based on those shows, I would definitely recommend Prison Break. Its like an action crime drama. Once you start to get into it a little, every episode is thrilling and suspenseful. You will never want to stop watching
I watched nearly most of the shows you have listed, and to this day my absolute favorite remains Pushing Daisies though it did get cancelled after 2 seasons because of the writers strike (back in 2008 or so I believe, many shows suffered). It still is the most original TV show I have ever seen. Romantic, mystery and comedy probably describe it best.
White Collar. It's about a criminal released into the custody of the FBI agent who captured him. He in turn helps the FBI catch other criminals.
Dexter. It's about a serial killer who works for a Miami police department and is trying to hide his identity from everyone.
Elizabeth is sweet though I'm partial to Neal and Mozzie. I started a White Collar thread a while back. If you want we can discuss the show on it.
Merlin, Alphas, Arrow and Grimm the shows I watched and enjoyed. Merlin is a sweet UK series with homoerotic under tones between two leads. Alphas like X-Men. While there is an eye candy token male, I loved two female characters as well. Grimm is Grimm... most fun show I watched in recent times... Arrow is Green Arrow. 'nuff said.
Being Human, UK and US versions are favorites of mine. Each start with the plot of a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost living together as roommates. I've just started watching Bitten on Netflix and it's pretty good--all about werewolves.
If you like Kristen Bell, try House of Lies. Other series I can recommend are The Hour, House of Cards, Tudors and Modern Family. also ditto about Pushing Daisies! Loved that show so much, Kristin Chenoweth is brilliant (others too)
